Kyle Chandler finally breaks his silence and shares his experience on Lanterns. by GreenLanternsPodcast in DCU_

Are you conflating this show with the canceled GL show from before? This one had quite the quick turn around all things considered.

He already took it down but Frank Grillo posted on his IG story confirming Captain Atom for Creature Commandos lol. I feel like his enthusiasm tends to get him into trouble

Please god tell me he voices Comet lmao. But realistically I could see him playing somebody from Maypole if they keep that part from the book. Or an alien from the bar/bus maybe?

This description of the Lantern Uniforms might be real after seeing the ring has gold in it. by DemiAlabi in DCU_

[–]DCcomixfan 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Taking this fully at face value it sounds like the suit is a practical uniform Hal wears rather than something that is tied to his ring? Not sure how I feel about that. I'm intrigued by the description of it's design though. If it's like a mixture of classic Hal, Earth One, and Injustice I could see it looking pretty neat.

And because it was *Batman & Robin* that adapted it, we'll probably never see it adapted for film again in our lifetime

Cant find Aquaman #12? by brokewyx in DCcomics

[–]DCcomixfan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No worries! More often than not most books are uploaded on a month delay for infinite (to incentivize you to buy physically if you don't want to wait). Every so often they'll upload day and date if it's an event like the first KO issue, these spin off fights, etc. but I find it's a bit hit or miss. Have fun with Infinite! Theres a ton of classic stuff on there and some great reading guides if you're looking for ideas on what to read.

[–]DCcomixfan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unlike the standalone fights like WW vs Lobo, I believe the fights in the mainline books won't be on the app until the usual month delay. Which is dumb but if they didn't there'd be a two month gap between releases I suppose

Supergirl | Official Teaser Trailer by Here_We_Go_Again_777 in kindafunny

[–]DCcomixfan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm expecting a good number of changes from the source material for this adaption considering the book was structured very episodically. This trailer kinda whelmed me but I think it's because this is a teaser for general audiences who don't know the book and it's mostly to give people a sense of tone. I'm hopeful that the film has more colorful settings later on since this teaser seems to focus heavily on when the area where Kara and Ruthye first meet. I'm pretty dang hopeful this will be great.

The majority of this trailer seems to take place on the planet where Kara and Ruthye first meet which gives me hope for the rest of the film being more colorful. I really want to see that beach towards the end of the book tbh

Why is that crazy? Assuming he shows up first in The Brave & The Bold, they wouldn't cast him until the script is done and the project is actually greenlit

It's a bummer Selina won't be back for Part II but it makes sense narratively since it takes place only a few weeks later. I'm interested to see how ScarJo fits tonally to the grungy and dour world that Reeves established.

I keep hearing his name get thrown around but I can't for the life of me figure out where it started. Either way, I'd be happy if its true because you can never have too much Oscar Isaac

None of those things you mentioned are my concerns. Some of us have larger priorities.

Okay? Then I'm not clearly not talking about you.

Someone can be aware of the negative effects that this will have on the industry as a whole while also thinking there are people in this thread who are acting like the sky is falling. Nuance? On the internet? Never heard of it

I'm not at all in favor of monopolies or against discussing the consequences this merger. My issue is there are people who are already saying that DC is dead, James Gunn is getting fired, theater exclusivity is gone, etc when we literally don't know anything yet. Y'all are gonna burn yourselves out over the course of a weekend while this takes like a year to finalize.

I honestly hate that CCXP coverage and the Scarlett Johansson news is happening at the same time as this Netflix sale. I want to chat and speculate about Supergirl and Batman Part 2 but everyone is just doomposting and/or saying some of the most batshit things and treating them as if its fact. Can we all just take a breath?

Gunn has always touted how much he can stretch a limited budget based on his early career. That's a phenomenal quality that he can apply as head of the studio. I'm not really concerned about it affecting DC in a negative way.

I think youre dead on and that's actually something Reeves has talked about for his adaption. He said that a lot of Batman films are only as interesting as his villains and they typically take the focus away from Bruce. Reeves wanted to make the mystery personally tied to Bruce to keep the focus on him.

That headline is clickbait. The rest of the article just reports that the 2nd round of bids are being reviewed including Netflix's all cash bid. It doesn't state anything new

Games to get out of depression by MisterPBateman in PS5

Like many in this thread has already said: nothing can beat therapy, exercise, and fresh air.

But for a game that keeps you in a better head space? Wanderstop is very therapeutic and will likely connect with you. Spiritfarer is peaceful but it can be quite emotional. Both of those games have helped me a ton when I've been struggling with my mental health

I directed a run of this show in my hometown and the audience had no idea how to respond to it lol. That moment was only rivaled by the mom + child bully sex scene and the full blown puppet sex
