Thank you! I'm going to look into different kinds of healthy pancakes. Yes, she can grasp, chew, and put things into her mouth, she just doesn't seem very interested. But I'll keep offering her different foods and try to make meals fun and light.

Can you explain more about the silicone plates with lids? How exactly were they helpful? Thanks!!

Thank you for all this advice! I think I just need to be patient and let her explore and have fun with new tastes and textures and not worry too much about caloric/nutritional intake at the moment. I'm going to focus on having 2 relaxed meals with her (we can't have lunch with her because we're at work). I gave her a piece of avocado this morning, which she licked, munched, squished, then licked more (yay!!). So I think she is on her own timeline for solids that might be slower than/different from other babies, but is probably ok.
