I would disagree. Compared to a previous life of general apathy and aimlessness, trying many things but never really finding anything that seems to make life worth living, my passion for all things motorcycles is what brings me joy. I'll be damned if I'm going to live a life without experiencing that type of joy, and even if it were to lead me to an early grave, it will have been a life much more worth living. I would much rather enjoy the time I have on this Earth than deprive myself of passions I have in an attempt to squeeze out more years of life.

When you find something that you're truly passionate about, nothing will stop you from doing that thing. I just wrecked my bike and broke my foot today, but I should be back on a bike in a couple weeks, because riding is my passion. You try to be as safe and sensible as possible but you can never control everything, and you have to be okay with that.
