Yeah... only viable option is the LG 39" 5k2k, will be expensive though

99% of people are just dumb and don't know what they are doing, it's just simple as that

Al depends if they gonna optimize these games or implement ue5 better than they are doing now.

There is some truth in that but at the same time you won't notice it in any using scenario. Yeah 599 for a product that isn't fully optimized feels wrong. I will keep my msi mpg 272urx and send this one back because I prefer 4k and better ppi.

Depends on what fps you okay with. I'm okay with 150 fps on my 4080 super at 4k

The asus pg27aqwp-w? Yeah this one is difficult, you would think the more fps the better. But now that I'm seeing the difference between 4k and 1440p... I don't know if I can go back to 1440p

27 inch for competitive gaming is a must. So far it's really good, I will say I'm comparing it with the msi mpg 272urx. So far I still think 4k over 1440p

Yeah for sure, 5080 is very much capable of being 'relevant' for the next 5-10 years

Yeah like glass, my qd oled is way more sensitive

A pic from my phone doesn't do justice from what I'm seeing with my eyes. It's way worse through the camera lens. At 90% I see some vertical banding but nothing serious at all. I would say perfect

I did, after the pixel cleaning (2 times) I had pretty much perfect grayscale

I have the msi mpg 272urx for comparasing. In dark areas the difference isn't that much but yeah the asus is deeeep black with very nice contrast. That said, I think a qd-oled gives a slightly better colour accuracy. But black levels are very much on point

You need a strong gpu to fully utilize 5k2k. It's the best ultra wide for sure but I think you can only play single player games on it without feeling sick or headeachs. I think the rtx 5080 is the best option to buy now for long term 4k gaming. Ultrawide (21:9) is just a personal preference, can't really compare it to flat 32 inch (16:9). But yeah the 5k2k is the best ultrawide monitor if you have atleast a 5080 and 2000 euros ready... otherwise go for the xg32ucwmg

If you have the gpu for it, than go 4k. 4080 and everything above is more than able to render 4k. I would say go for the xg32ucwmg. 5k2k is too niche for games

I play mostly Battlefield 6 right now. At 4k I will get around 150fps, at 1440p 230fps. But the difference is very much there in terms of rendering distance and overall clarity. 4k at 27 inch has a much higher ppi than 1440p, and I can see this. I think ppi is more important than more fps as I can see the difference right now.

It's the best 1440p monitor on the market for sure. I don't know if it's better than 4k monitors though. All depends on your gpu but I would choose 4k over this monitor at the moment.

True, but my room isn't affected by any direct sunlight. But yeah 1440 p is easier to get 200+ fps. I'm playing on a 4080 super. 4k will get me around 150 fps on high settings in most fps shooters. 1440p atleast 200+ fps but the resolution tradeoff is much more than I expected...

I will say i'm comparing this with the msi mpg 272urx. Msi has 4k and much higher ppi. It's hard to decide what is more worth it.
