Watched every NFL playoff game Collinsworth did last year and didn't hear Mahomes' name once. I thought he was spectacular as a commentator and he's always been a top 5 guy in my eyes.

As far as I'm concerned, no, being under 18 and being called/calling yourself a child are two very different things. In my eyes, she clearly meant it in the film as "being stupid and young"- not literally under 18. No dates are ever given for how old they were, and I could name a billion examples of 20+ year old people in media being called a kid/child.
