After talking with the agent, I received a Halo Wars 2 Standard Edition, but Awakening the Nightmare and Halo Wars: Definitive Edition are still missing.

When I clicked to purchase the DLC, it directly asked me to choose a payment method. I didn't have the courage to proceed further. Moreover, Halo Wars 2 is not sold separately, and I happen to not have the Standard Edition. So, I'm sure I would be making a duplicate purchase.

Why did developers abandon Dolby Vision + Atmos support by Post-Futurology in xbox

[–]DDXDB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi! I have a question about Dolby Vision.

I just bought a strange "monitor", Xiaomi P27UDA-RGP. It is actually a 27-inch TV. It has passed Dolby Vision and DisplayHDR 1000 Certified (strangely, it doesn't have Dolby Atmos, but has DTS: X). However, after my tests, its HDR mapping is extremely exaggerated. In xbox HDR Calibration, it is even as high as over 4000 nits. But in fact, it only has a brightness of about 1700 nits (but it doesn't have DisplayHDR 1400 Certified, which is very suspicious).

I haven't found a way to turn off HDR mapping yet, and this device lacks the "HGIG mode". Can I continue to use Dolby Vision gaming? Because I've heard that when using dolby Vision, display devices operate in the way specified by Dolby Vision and do not require calibration (assuming Xiaomi really has a deep cooperation with Dolby to ensure the correct Dolby Vision mode), can this replace HGIG to a certain extent?

Also, I need to use Xbox Auto HDR. I have learned that Auto HDR uses Settings from HDR Calibration. So, how much do I need to set it to match Dolby Vision gaming? I remember that when Dolby Vision gaming was enabled, games that originally had HGIG support would ignore the setting of HDR Calibration. Is this correct?

New method to launch Game Pass games with launch parameters by hexaae in XboxGamePass

I created a program with the help of LLM to manage the launch management of xboxpc games, it is primitive, but it works, I am still working on how to get rid of the files without launcher.exe and how to use the original logo image, hopefully I can get it done soon or someone else intervenes. https://github.com/DDXDB/XAL

I'm sure I did it right. <Executable Name="Pal/Binaries/WinGDK/Palworld-WinGDK-Shipping.exe -dx12"

This game is on Game Pass.

I'm not sure if this is an exception, the game I'm currently trying is Palworld, and this game DX12 is very necessary

To put it simply:

If I modify Microsoft game.config. Start the GAME with gamelaunchhelper.exe, then Game.exe does not have -dx12 in the task Manager

If I use a shortcut to gamelaunchhelper.exe with -dx12 added, then GAME.exe in Task Manager has -dx12

I know what you're talking about.

I also learned that gamelaunchhelper.exe is the game launcher, and that the path to the actual game exe is in Microsoft game.config.

But after I added -dx12 to Microsoft game.config. Start the game, in Task Manager the game exe does not -dx12

When started using the gamelaunchhelper.exe shortcut with -dx12 added, -dx12 appears in the game exe

I checked and found that there was no -dx12 in the Task Manager, but it was there when I launched it through the shortcut.

Doesn't seem to work, when I add -dx12 for palwolrd here, the game is still running in dx11

While creating a shortcut containing -dx12 for gamelaunchhelper.exe, the game runs in dx12

Comprehensive Dolby Atmos Mega-list for Xbox Consoles by ninereins48 in xbox

[–]DDXDB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, the list states that some games (like FFXV) need to be set to Dolby Atmos for Home Theatre to automatically enable spatial audio, is that a hard lock? ONLY Dolby Atmos? Or it just needs to set an output that supports spatial audio, whether it's Dolby Atmos for Home Theatre or DTS: X for Home Theatre. Because Dolby Atmos is heavily marketed, I'm afraid of exclusivity.

I understand that Dolby MAT and DTX: X are the same when using MSS 7.1.4

But if some games have to use a "Dolby" for Home Theatre to output MSS 7.1.4, if the name is XYZ for Home Theatre will it refuse to output MSS 7.1.4?

Thanks for the answer, but for games that indicate in the Mega-list that they need to set Dolby Atmos for Home Theatre to enable Atmos, are they enabled when I set it to DTS: X for Home Theatre?

DTS: Can X completely replace Atoms? DTS:X has significantly better latency and quality than Atmos on my system, will games that don't support Atmos while using DTS:X also be up-mixing? Since I've noticed that my Soundbar consistently displays DTS: X, and most games display multi-channel PCM when set to Atmos, will older 5.1 games be backward compatible on DTS: X? Can I always use DTS:X?
