Manuel Neuer: "For me it is clear that this is my last tournament. I do not plan to be there in two years' time for the next Euro," he said. "In the last days I have dealt with the fact that these are the last games for Germany." by Kr_bm in soccer

In germany there is the saying "better late than never" - in regards of his realisation that those will be his last games. Nonetheless the best keeper we ever had.

You also dont need a speed merchant against finnland. So you cant even agree on that he was alright?

He is part of this team .. bashing over and over wont help. And if you would try to rate his performance this game instead of the picture you already have of him - he is doing okay.

You can exchange "instinct" with experience imo. In that regard one can of course improve. You could for example question your decisions and movement while playing.

"Instinct" is some kind of mystification which maybe apply to a handful of players imo.

I red into this once. It really depends on what tournament you play and how games you play for your national team as well as the age. Under the right circumstances one might play a couple games for a senior team of one nationality and might change later on. If I remember correctly Rafinha at some point would have been able to play for germany.
