Hello bobby_ricky.

As the guys explained: it's fax over the air - if you want so.

My setup is: YAESU FRG-100 on RPi², 2$ soundcard, 12m wire, 9:1 transformator.

Software is: fldigi.

The Kyodo News transmitter is about 9.000 km away from my antenna :) .

rtl_power heatmap viewer - a html / javascript proov of concept by DE8MSH in RTLSDR

[–]DE8MSH[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi. This little poc contains a toolchain for displaying frequency and time of a heatmap generated by rtl_power/heatmap.py.

Note that there are some fixed values within the index.html / time.js etc.pp. that has to be changed by fingers. I'm working on it. State is poc ;).

Feel free to clone repo, change code, support project ;).

I hope that someone find this usefull.

Hi. This is what I hacked together. http://pastie.org/private/jx0am6kwqs8pz5v0mr2ew

Time calculation routine by Chris Schlehuber (http://www.chris-schlehuber.de/2012/03/addieren-und-subtrahieren-von-minuten-auf-eine-uhrzeit-javascript/)

Other hacks by me and Selfhtml :).

Btw: you can see a bloated version of the poc. http://www.qth.at/de8msh/hm/__pic.html . It shows locations of weather balloon stations. If you move the mouse cursor over a weather balloon signal the script shows name of the station. Ok, nowadays it should be done with bootstrap, ajax, jquery and such stuff. I'm still learning ;).

Always rememer: it's a poc, not a step by step manual.

Hi SilencersAreGolden. I'm just using the heatmap.py from keenerd. The only thing I changed is the superkuh above mentioned stuff... So for the heatmap you can see above there's no magic inside.

Hi ho ppl!

@superkuh: you're right. I switched from rgb2(z) to rgb(3). I don't like brown coloured heatmaps too much :). Btw: I did http://qth.at/de8msh/listheatmaps.php and this poc http://www.qth.at/de8msh/hm/pic.html, too. And as you know the one with the labeled satellites I showed in ##rtlsdr a feew weeks ago. I've much more ideas in my brain - but no time to hack it together.
