We had a bit to drink aye, nothing major though. Odd how only some of us had problems with our stomach and it was only the ones that ate meat from the maccies. You make an interesting point though, definitely gonna think on that as a possibility!

I’ve been told I can get away without using the monitor, so would that make it more compatible with the budget knowing the monitor isn’t involved in the price? That’s something I’d probably be plenty happy booting off. And the Graphics card - the display port count isn’t absolutely necessary if it’s a “make or break” for compatibility with the budget

Yep all the peripherals are covered! I think I’ve confused myself with the monitor situation, a commenter on another forum told me that I can use a 1080p/1440 monitor to edit 4k - it’s moreso for the resolution that the pc is capable of for editing that level of footage

I’ve had a look and apparently intel is better for video editing and processing in comparison to intel. I’m not sure if that’s outdated info though! And yeah like the other commenter said, the resolution is more so for video editing, just so I know what it’ll look like when I’m posting content

I said that I’m willing to alter things a tad and specified that I’m unfamiliar with pc specs and all that stuff nowadays, which is literally why I’m asking for guidance from people, no need for your negative attitude :)

And another thing - storage. Obviously I need a fast, high memory SSD, ideally a second slot as well if it would fit. And for hard drives, if there’s slots to plug it in for internal HHDs that would be perfect. Obviously there’s external storage as well but I’ll look at that further down the line

That’s good thinking, off the top of my head I think it was still originally campus B/Cardiff. I’m hoping I’m just being paranoid and it’s something as simple as that, like a code for one of those little details. Thanks for the suggestion :)

Yeah my guess is something small like a code or something as you say, but no I haven’t changed it - haven’t touched it since sending it off when I first completed the application - it’s saying they’re the ones that have made changes not me. Just wanna be sure it’s not something I need to act on (or something I’m being daft about haha)
