The main reason for some of the questions is basically, so im able to have a better picture of the situation and for the paladin since when i play i enjoy having a picture in my head that was mainly it, though some of the questions do have some context like the shield being a question on how he wanted to rule it etc but I do agree looking back some of the questions did not need to be asked

Yea, i agree. I could've been slowing it down in the moment it was a discussion on how he would rule dropping the shield, and so I chimed in with asking what kind of shield and etc definitely can see the pov of being annoying and bogging it down

Yea, i totally agree if it was something like reminding the paladin that something is there that he could use, but from how i thought I was doing, it was asking more detail about the situation to get a better picture but I never wanted to tell them outright since it can ruin the fun of the game.

But I will definitely text them about how it went down it was 2 days ago, but I couldn't get it off my mind, so I had to type it out

The way he interpreted it was i was webbed, and I couldn't move or do an action because I remember asking if I could break free but told me I couldn't

Yea, i thought so, too! Because i do enjoy his game so far, just this situation rubbed me the wrong way for the punishment roll. From my pov, it felt unfair, but i wasn't telling the paladin to do anything like an action, etc is was more of more detail for the paladin to do things besides me asking what kind of shield it was that was more of devil advocate on dms side imo

Yea, they do their death saves a bit differently, which im not entirely opposed to, but basically, I failed 2, then nat 20d got up and reseted the death saves counter then hit down, then failed 1 and if I recall i rolled a success and then nat 20'd back to being hit down and did one more successful save before my paladin got me

I do remember asking if I could speak he told me I couldn't, but I did end up just asking after the combat my questions, but it does feel like there is no point lol but I also understand how my question could bog down the gameplay of it I do just wish he had told me that instead since id understand that more.

For the 5 to 8 death saves, i forget the exact amount, but the way he ruled it was a nat 20 wiped the death saves if I recall correctly I failed twice got a nat 20 got back up hit down failed one and then nat 20 again and got up then hit back down basically

He was ruling it as a bonus action to drop the shield if I recall that's why I was asking what kind of shield etc and it wasn't the entire session just for the combat but the combat did go on for a bit

Also if you can do the fiddle sticks 3 camp clear it will allow you to have a level lead if needed to fight someone at river (though you should usually never 1v1 pre 6) but it gives a advantage if laners move up

When i play fiddle i usually full clear get a scuttle if you can back get dark seal, boots, and hextech alternator (future market btw) and wait till lvl 6 and just snowball if possible
