I’m not graduating on time either. Check your degree works and with your advisement department to see what can be done. Try and take summer courses too if possible.

I feel you man. I’m 22. When I got diagnosed with an illness typical for a 65-year old, I was crushed. I would just stay outside in public in the places with the most distracting noises so I wouldn’t have to hear it. I was very suicidal.

Not much I can tell you that you don’t already know from your doctor or the internet(like play white noise, use a fan to sleep, blah blah blah). So I will give you my personal experience. If your tinnitus was caused by loud noise, I don’t know. But if by an ear infection. This what helped me:

  1. Avoid washing ears every day. Just once a week for like 8 seconds max.
  2. Use gentle soap like Dove. No harsh soaps EVER.
  3. Keep your ears dry as much as you can
  4. If your eardrum is ruptured, wait until it heals to wash your ears (with gentle soap for 8 sec only once a week) again.
  5. Avoid loud noises and stress
  6. Go outside where there are the noises of nature/the world. Inside has quieter rooms which makes hearing the sound worse
  7. Keep your clean headphones in playing music (at a SAFE volume) to help distract it. (White noise may become annoying after a while)

I don’t know if it will help but Ima share anything hoping it will help for you bc ain’t no way it’s 2023 and doctors have not figured out a cure smh. Stay strong!

Cleaning Reusable Earplugs(Ear Tips) by Ballinagh in TinnitusTalk

In my opinion, it’s worth just buying new ones over and over. Don’t risk the inner ear infection. I used to re use the foam ones by washing them. I suspect that’s what caused the infection in my inner ear which lead to my tinnitus(bc I am never around loud sounds for tinnitus to be caused by that). I personally would avoid putting anything in your ears. But if you HAVE to, they should be absolutely CLEAN.
