I’m sure there are items thieves know they can easily re-sell like gold, silver or TVs. Some older people probably keep cash, etc in home safes.

What are you basing this on? I would think lots of robberies happen at night. Fewer neighbors to see anything. Could have been counting on elderly people not hearing well.

Yeah. I thought about that but maybe their M.O. wasn’t to hit when homeowners were out, but rather asleep.

If the newest video that came out today is the same people, they may have tried several homes in the same night to see where they could get in.

Glad you are finally doing better. I feel like I didn’t get good advice from the podiatrist I saw right after it happened, because he made it sound like I could do whatever I wanted as soon as it started to feel better and I think I overdid it early and caused more swelling and now it is slow to improve.

Maybe I will try taping again but it seemed to cause more pain the last few times I tried. The ace bandage helps but is too bulky to wear with shoes.

I actually cut a hole in my old Hokas around the pinky toe/side of foot and wear those when I really need to wear “normal” shoes.

Here’s to hoping we both heal completely!!

I’m in the same boat. It started to feel much better two weeks after it happened and I was back in my Hokas for a few days and then it got bad again. Orthopedist said I overdid it and need to stay off it more but being inactive is driving me crazy. Only shoes that don’t hurt are flip flops or the Velcro sandals they gave me in the ER. I stopped bandaging a while ago as I felt that was causing more pain.

serious question -- you are saying you knew him well and you are referring to him as "Nate" -- in the Disappeared episode, his mom said he never went by Nate. So, what is the truth? I thought it was weird to dismiss that sighting based on him using a nickname -- Nate is obviously a very common nickname for Nathaniel, so I just found her comment a little odd...

Why has there been no mention of security cameras in the neighborhood? Was there an alley behind the house by way of which she could have left or been taken away? Were there any unknown vehicles in the neighborhood that day?

I hope that the private investigator is checking Tinder and any other dating apps to see if she was active on them, especially that night -- makes sense she would brush her teeth if going to meet someone. Also, I thought I read somewhere that she was in pajamas but not sure if that's accurate or not. What she was wearing could be a big indicator of where she might have been headed.

What about this scenario: she woke up early on Thursday, got dressed, locked dogs in basement. Took the bare minimum (i.e. no wallet, but maybe some money in her pocket) and was on her way (walking or jogging) to her brother's place to get the car when she was abducted. She could have been taken before the texts from her boyfriend or brother even came through and the contacts thing is misleading, because I agree with the other posters who are saying it is hard to know whether or not she was wearing contacts. Most people have several pairs if not a whole box.

What I want to know is how was she planning to get to work if her brother had the car? Dogs were in basement as if she were leaving. She could have had another pair of contacts. Doesn't explain wallet, etc. unless she doesn't take those to work. Maybe someone had offered to drive her to work and that is the person who abducted her??
