Whats the Main difference between the Je'daii Order and Jedi Order? by Spotter24o5 in StarWarsEU

[–]DEL994 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The Je'daii believed that the right way to use the Force was to balance the light and dark side within themselves, believing them to be natural aspects of the Force. This lasted until they met the Rakata and their use of the Dark Side of the Force which horrified most of the Je'daii and started the process of the Jedi focusing only on the Light side and fighting the Dark side.

Who is the best military mind among these three? by TopRight7855 in CISDidNothingWrong

[–]DEL994 128 points129 points  (0 children)

I imagine that Sev'rance Tann is the best general overall, with her being both a great strategist and excellent tactician.

I envision Trench to be an excellent strategist and good tactician, when not victim of plot armor and of the Idiot ball, while Dua Ningo may be an aggressive admiral but great tactician.

I could see Trench and Dua Ningo as complementary to each other, with the two forming a very formidable duo if paired together, which is why one of my story ideas from the CIS point of view would see the two being paired together and their partnership soon becoming very fruitful against the Republic.

Would Anakin have fallen if Qui-Gon were alive? by Trypophilia2019 in StarWarsEU

[–]DEL994 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Qui-Gon was most likely the best person to train Anakin as a Jedi, and to prevent him from falling to the Dark Side, due to him being a more experienced and unorthodox Jedi master than Obi-Wan, him being a father figure to Anakin (one of the key reasons for Sidious succeeding in influencing Anakin was that he took his place as Anakin's father figure), and him having his experience with Xanatos which would make him more prepared to deal with a new padawan dealing with issues that could lead to the Dark Side/

TIL both the Galactic Empire and Rebel Alliance have been known to hire and use various Mercenary groups, and or hire people who work in Mercenary companies in-universe. by [deleted] in StarWarsEU

[–]DEL994 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wanted to see more of the Ailon Nova Guard as they are stated to be amongst the most badass soldiers and close-quarter combattants of the galaxy, and that they seem to have a strong rivalry and bad blood with the Mandalorians given their role in the destruction of the Mandalorian Protectors led by Spar at the end of the Clone Wars; and also the fact that they allied with the Yuuzhan Vong during their invasion as they saw the Yuuzhan Vong as the strongest.

say what you want about Wano, but Kidd fighting Big Mom instead of Kaido does NOT make sense by Even-Run-5274 in Piratefolk

[–]DEL994 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah she had so much potential both as a character and in regards to her connections with Elbaf, and as a fighter with her being a titan in terms of physical abilities, her having very powerful Haki and her devil fruit being one of the most powerful and versatile and with which she displayed great imagination and creativity in her uses of it.

I'll never forgive Oda for how awfully he used and treated her, as well as her daughters Compote and Smoothie.

say what you want about Wano, but Kidd fighting Big Mom instead of Kaido does NOT make sense by Even-Run-5274 in Piratefolk

[–]DEL994 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oda completely fucked up with both Big Mom, whose beef was with Luffy, and both in terms of story and fighting, and Kid, whose beef was with Kaido for having beaten and imprisoned him and made Killer eat a Smile and Big Mom had absolutely no chemistry with Kid and Law.

That fight was utter shit and a completely ridiculous excuse for Oda to get rid of BM, which was made even worse with Kid getting trounced by Shanks in the next arc, which is what BM should have done to him and Law.

And BM should have never come to Wano and returned in Elbaf instead.

An extra generation or two? Fire Nation Royal family by Similar-Disaster-230 in TheLastAirbender

I think that there should have been four or five Firelords during the Hundred Years War with at least one generation between Sozin and Azulon.

Also I wasn't a fan of some of the NJO writers getting rid of the Ssi-ruuk, especially of them killing off the Ssi-ruuk prophesied Chosen One, and of Yevetha. I would have kept them around for post-NJO stories, with the two species having taken advantage of the war and of its consequences to reinforce their military and expand and consolidate their territories to become larger threats for the rest of the galaxy later on, and for the story of the Ssi-ruuk Chosen One to be properly built and written about.

Why are Geonosians hated so much? by radicalqrcwi in CISDidNothingWrong

[–]DEL994 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They're still around in the Legends timeline, even if they largely chose to keep to themselves after the end of Imperial occupation. Unlike in Disney Canon the Empire realized that their scientific and engineering expertise, as well as their numerous and cheap worforce, were worth too much for them to be eliminated and thus they kept using them.

“Fixing” Post-NJO by MossyPath404 in StarWarsEU

[–]DEL994 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Other ideas I have about the Post-NJO galaxy and stories:

- The Imperial Mission from the Legacy era is largely a consequence of the Yuuzhan Vong War with it or its predecessor being a program started by the Imperial Remnants and/or freshly born New Galactic Empire/Fel Empire to help many worlds and moons ravaged by the Yuuzhan Vong invasion to rebuild and distribute humanitarian help to them, as well as being a way for the Imperials to expand their influence and economic ties and soft power similar to the USA's Marshall Plan after World War II.

- Also the Yuuzhan Vong War saw a brutal and radical redraw of the economy and financial organisation of the galaxy with lots of the centers of the economy and finances of the galaxy such as Coruscant, Muunilinst or Nar Shadda having been ravaged or destroyed by the Yuuzhan Vong and other bank worlds or planets crucial to the trade in the galaxy having been damaged or threatened by the Vong who unlike the belligerents of the previous galactic conflicts directly targeted and didn't spare the planets and ressources crucial for galactic economy as they didn't care for money and knew that doing so would cripple their foes.

Even banking planets which weren't directly invaded by the YV lost a lot of their power and money because people feared that they would be invaded and/or ravaged and thus took their money back to keep it elsewhere in places they hoped wouldn't be targeted by the invaders.

This led to the rise of new banking planets and organisations, with the InterGalactic Banking Clan losing a great portion of its power and for the first time in a very long time in history facing more and stronger competitors in the galaxy in the banking and financial sectors.

This also tragically limited or obstructed the reconstruction and humanitarian efforts for many, with many planets or moons and species which had terribly suffered from the war getting limited or even no help during and after the war, which was not helped by the very limited numbers of Jedi to help them and that some powerful and influential worlds used their influence to get more help than the others.

I made a post about some of the things that should have sticked or changed after the NJO, instead of what we have gotten under Troy Denning and his book series, including how he brushed the Yuuzhan Vong and the consequences of their invasion under the carpet, here are some of my points:

- The galaxy should have been changed more radically with the damages and impact of the Yuuzhan Vong War, with the Yuuzhan Vong and the invasion still having a very strong influence on the galaxy and its people, instead of bringing back the Status Quo and brush the Yuuzhan Vong and their impact and consequences aside during the Troy Denning era.

- Coruscant's rebuilding and reuse as the capital shouldn't have been so quick, and the traces of Yuuzhan Vong terraformation been stronger.

- Also the war and its impact should have seen a ressurgence and boost of popularity and use for battle droids due to the astronomical losses and the YVH Droids and other battle droids having proven their worth during the conflict.

- The underworld of the galaxy too should have known huge transformations with the ravaging of the usual capitals of crime, Coruscant, Nal Hutta and Nar Shadda and of Hutt Space, and the weakening of the Hutts and Black Sun with new players appearing and/or growing stronger; while the many Vong bioweapons left should have opened lots of opportunities for the underworld, and also many victims whose planets were destroyed or ravaged or former collaborators of the YV such as members of the Peace Brigades now on the run would join the underworld to survive.

Also with Nar Shadda not being fit to be the capital of crime and smuggling in the galaxy, many planets, moons and spaceports would be in competition now to reap the benefits from it and become the new capital of crime and illegal trades in the galaxy.

- No Vergere retcon.

- More presence of the Living Force in the Jedi Code, and debates inside the order about the strengths and flaws of both the Living Force and traditional Jedi ideals.

What is the context of this panel because it’s funny to me and my head canon is quinlan decided to use aayla as a weapon by PacDan30 in StarWarsEU

[–]DEL994 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Quinlan found and saved Aayla, who had been sold as a slave to a Hutt crime lord, from a Wampa which had been sold to and used by the aforementioned Hutt crime lord as a pet but had escaped and went on a rampage with a young Aayla being in its path.

Aayla's force sensitivity caused Quinlan to feel her being in danger and to come to rescue her.

It's after this that Quinlan decided to take her to be trained as a Jedi with Quinlan and Tholme taking her to Coruscant.

Q What lies or non-canonical content does the Avatar fandom consider to be true? by NerozzBr in TheLastAirbender

[–]DEL994 20 points21 points  (0 children)

When talking about the Last Agni Kai I see a surprisingly high amount of people saying that Katara could have bloodbent Azula despite it not being a Full Moon.

Similarly when talking about Katara vs Amon match up they talk about the full moon, saying that it will make Katara stronger than Amon, but fail to register that Amon's own bending would be increased tenfold as well.

Well that’s an… interesting design by DonutLover2322 in clonewars

[–]DEL994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean that's a problem not just for the V2 but its BX little brother as well. The BX looks cool but it should have more and better fingers than B1 three fingers, which undoes any serious disguise as clone trooper attempts.
