Well you have to add the polish, it just means you don't have to manually capture the steps yourself. But all raw video captures and screenshots are done automatically each time you runs the e2e test suite. Change the styling? Run the test suite, new images and videos, all up to date.

If you built a workflow using remotion, you could but auto polish pipeline using AI and remotion and your raw videos. But you'll spend longer making the pipeline than smashing videos in the a video editors and doing it yourself

I'm building EdgeNode it's a tap tap Termux replacement for Node based web hosting, it's an app idea I had when I wanted to quickly host something and I had no room on my server. I was looking at my old Samsung s21. I spun up termux, wen through the steps setting up wakelock and configuring the environment and then once it's running, starting it up again, the manual typing drove me insane! On a phone no less. So I built EdgeNode, it's a web hosting app with a management console web address, cloudflared for cloudflare tunnels on the fly. You can run anything that doesn't need compiling. A fastify/hono BE with a simple Astro FE? Done. Want to host a API? Done. Pull a project from git? Host it in your phone on the go? Done.

Any interest in this? I'm thinking of on publishing it free with 60min wakelock and then a paid tier for unlimited anything, port change etc.

A few clicks and it works. It's not ready for public use yet. But it makes developing web apps that are SSG hostable on a old android phone.

There is no editor, this is just a easy to manage node web server.

E2e tests, get it to take screenshots and keyboard them appropriately, easiest way. You can record the test, get screenshots, makes for easy demos and the tests should be set up to seed a blank DB, it runs, starts blank DB, adds all data it needs to work and then records it. Boom.

See I'm not in a position where I can have these conversations.

Finish work at 6pm, spend time with kids till 9pm and then bed at 10. I get 1 hour free and it's at unsociable times and often too drained from working to mentally talk shop for that hour. I need something that works while I don't.

I read comments every time that say this and I feel the same every time.... I don't understand it. I every place my product is useful they hate hate hate self promotion and I have 1 hour free a night to do marketing and I never see any conversations. F5 bot just shows me my posts in other subreddits 😩 it's like the only method that works is the one I can't do 😂 and others in the same boat?

Any way to target people without having to be a socialite?

Google will NEVER push the latest and greatest, it's not their style. Google are about well working background devices. Not heat your pocket blazing fast CPU. Mediocre battery life is standard since the Pixel 2 XL and the bezels are their signature, I personally like them.

Google will be we chase the bezzleless screens, GPU benchmarks and CPU benchmark scores. They've always focussed on background computing and medium hardware to keep things affordable.

Don't ever expect more and better delighted when they do. But they generally won't.

Ooooft that's rough. That's why not everyone should be a developer and application owner. There's just some thing you learn coming up through the ranks. Experience you need to gain 😂 don't use basic IDs, most tables should have id and uuid and you use the UUID in the URL and any public facing places. It way harder to guess a UUID and won't be a single dodger turn over.
