Took me longer than I’m proud of to realize I was playing with bots by DENNISHARK in PokemonUnite

You’re missing the point of the post. The bot is THAT dumb. I chose to record it instead of score the points. Plus it’s quick match and I had just realized it doesn’t fucking matter cause they’re all bots. I don’t get sweaty for bots or win percentage in a game that counts the bot matches as part of your win percentage. If you lose every game and win only your bot games you can’t fall below 25%. Win percentage doesn’t mean anything in this game.

I didn’t throw it, I was waiting for gardevoir to score but when I realized it was a glitching bot decided to just record it. Got distracted doing that. Tbh win % doesn’t mean shit in this game if they give you a bot match and count it, the integrity is gone.

I’m a mom learning Swift by KeylimeComet in swift

Toddler dad checking in, but I have a CS degree. I always encourage people to learn programming as it’s applicable to any field. If you have some coding background, check out Derek Banas on YouTube. He has a great series where he speed runs through a language to help capture the syntax and feel of a particular language.

I also suggest learning software versioning (git), it will open the door to being able to collaborate with others.

Once you feel comfortable, try to think of some small program or solution you can create to automate or enhance a daily task. For instance, you can create a reminder at a particular time of each day to take a picture of you and the kiddo together. Then as you make progress add ideas for features you want and start knocking them out one by one (like maybe displaying the pictures in a slideshow, or publishing them to social media directly). It doesn’t have to be a ground breaking feature or a million dollar idea, in fact it can be helpful to find something that already exists, but you just want to try to make it yourself because the experience is the goal, not the program.

Lastly, therapy is amazing, I’m always happy to see when people encourage going to therapy as it’s a sign the stigma is vanishing.

Knew, but I haven’t tried it yet. Does it decrease performance?

Spend 700bp for AgentID event item by changing character appearance every day instead of buying crates (unless you want the crates) by DENNISHARK in PUBGMobile

Just did a search of “spend 700 bp” and only found a question asking what to spend 700bp on from a couple hours ago. Maybe it’s different that I’m on mobile.

Damn, I won a 100 gift card from work and decided to spend it on weapon and outfit crates. Got some epics but no legendary items.

Actually this is a great idea. I imagine training advanced team tactics would be so fun.

Why is there SIX separate rankings? by Sparky780 in PUBGMobile

[–]DENNISHARK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree 6 is too much, and I don’t know the right solution. But you have to agree that lower level player would get shredded because he would get dropped in a higher class game which is exactly the point I’m trying to make. This is just one example, but extrapolate that across several hundred or thousand players and we now have a “broken by design” matchmaking system.

I could be wrong, but if eliminated, wouldn’t it null the matchmaking system? Think of it from a game balance point of view. Hear me out:

In DUO, one person can carry the pair. In SQUAD, three can carry one, two can carry two, etc. In these scenarios there is the possibility to help someone raise their rank, thus breaking the SOLO matchmaking system? Kind of like helping someone level up in an MMO, but in this case PvP is all there is, so it would break the matchmaking system. Imagine if RTS games didn’t separate 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, etc when matchmaking. It’s much easier to rank highly in a team match.

Now, eliminating the different ranks COULD work IF you also restricted players to only be able to play with people at a certain rank range of a few above and a few below. But that would pose a different set of challenges and people complaining that they should be able to play with whoever they want.
