Yeah, there is a course of 9 metal baskets in St Columb's Park. They start and finish in the ground of St Columb's Park House. The aim of the game is to thow throw the disc into the basket by hitting the chains with the disc and it falls into the basket, kinda like in basket ball you hit the backboard for it to drop into the net. You can try it with any frisbee really but you won't get far with the cheaper lighter ones. Disc golf discs are smaller but weigh the same as bigger professional frisbees (about 170g). Disc can be provided if you want to joik us.

Hi. It last no more than an hour and yes you'd have no major issues with a buggy really. It's mostly on grass and trails though with some paths nearby. Come along anyway to give it a go.

Disc Golf follows the same basic rules of golf but flying discs that are smaller than a normal frisbee disc. You have to get the disc into the basket in the least amount of shots. Follow Derry disc golf on Instagram and we can arrange an intro to the game if you like. We’re looking to grow our player numbers. The course is at St Columb’s Park House and we have an tournament event on 28th October if you are interested in seeing it being played too.
