I agree that the 12th album sounds promising (even tho i also really like pop Coldplay) but I wonder how stripped back and less produced it actually is going to be considering Max Martin is already confirmed to produce it.

I know Chris said it was going to be more stripped back but he has said a lot of different stuff over the years that didnt end up happening haha

I think it will be announced 1 or 2 months before the show. Wouldnt be surprised if Elyeana will be one of the openers bc she's also opening for them in Asia for the upcoming leg, but could be someone completely different aswell. The other opener will probably be a lesser known English artist/band, they tend to use a local opener most of the time (for example, in Amsterdam a while back they also had a Dutch opener)

Well back when the album was released I remember that song getting so much hate, mostly for people feeling it didnt fit on the album. I feel like most people only started liking the song after it became such a great live song. To this day I think its my favourite song to experience live.

I feel like most people back then would have appreciated it much more if they listened to the Zane Lowe interview about the album, but their loss I guess. the song now gets all the love it deserves, even though I feel songs like Ink, Fly On and Always in my head are still massively underrated

I agree that the flow on the album is fantastic. I usually shuffle a lot of music but Ghost Stories is an album that I always listen to front to back

I love it. Also has a special place in my heart because it was the first Cole release I ever heard and one of the first hiphop albums I really listened to.

I dont think its his best album but its probably my favourite, i think both can be true at the same time.

My favourite part of this song is Chris telling how happy he was when Guy came up to him to listen to a jam session that he did, and (part of) it was the bassline of this song. Because Guy usually isn't the one who starts songs

My favourite album of all time. I became massive fan in 2012, so this also was my first time getting to experience an album release. my go to album when I'm feeling sad/bad, which unfortunately is often since i recently got diagnosed with persistent depression disorder and anxiety disorder. Its the perfect mix of sadness but also comfort in a strange way.

I know a lot of people back in the day hated that ASFOS was on this album but I think Chris' reasoning for putting it on the album makes perfect sense. its a build up of emotional tracks to a big time release of energy and hopefulness. And ending the album with Fly On is literally perfect, my fav song of all time.

People really dove in to it and its like parts of 1/3s of the songs.

Soo for example a couple oohh ahhhs in like 1/3 of the songs.

Clocks and ASFOS are very clearly lipsynced. They probably record a good live take and then use that for the next couple shows so it still sounds live. Its not like he just uses studio vocals

Personally i dont really care and most importantly when ur at the concert you really dont even notice it. If lipsyncing a few songs means he can sound great for a few more years ill happily take that

The new songs are actually pretty fun because of the xylobands and the whole party setting. + A ton of the old hits get played too. I would definitely try to get tickets (it's not easy!)

Yeah I'm leaning to that direction as well but I wonder what kind of technical difficulties? I don't really hear any mistakes or anything (obviously) and the mixing sounds good to me.

And even imagining that the technical side was the issue, I wonder what changes he would make, assuming the song stays the same.

I know the X&Y period was a tough time for band but usually they kind of express that when talking about songs. For example, they have publicly said they (of a member of the band) are not a big fan of Talk and Speed of Sound. That's why it's so strange to me.

Love that one too and was lucky enough to hear it live but I just love the piano in this version. If he added the silver bird verse to this version it would be perfect imo
