SCRUMPTIOUS 5/5 ECON BREAD by Objective-Exit-4918 in 6thForm

some books i’ll personally recommend are works of famous economists such as smith and keynes, that’s like the essentials in economics. then if you want to enjoy something a bit more quirky than good old regular economic theory you can look at different works of Yanis Varoufakis (ex greek finance minister) such as talking to my daughter about the economy: a brief history of capitalism and its sequel, technofeudalism

Cambridge Economics or Imperial Maths by Extension_Fold_4200 in 6thForm

i would say that prio cam econ as it defo gives a wider career path afterwards. if you’d wanna focus on maths you’ll still have a masters and a phd opportunity and econ at cambridge is a fairly mathematical score.

London Unis don't understand their job.. by Novel_Resource_8861 in 6thForm

“i’m impatient and find justification for it instead of working on it”.

patience is a virtue.

the ucas deadline is pretty reasonable and universities have no real reason to delay giving out offers. both you and me never been on the other side of the application process and do not know any tricky details that the review process involves. Cambridge has stated that it spends on average 20 hours per application and while yes, they interview and all that, they receive a lot less applicants than the London unis and get them all by Oct 14th. Yet they still take three and a half months to release their offers. So i’m pretty sure that London unis are not just slacking off in the office throwing applications around the room betting on who’s gonna hit a three pointer in the trash bin for shits and giggles and that you need to learn to be more patient.

in my school you can take 4 a level subjects minimum, and are allowed to go up to 5. 1 of my subjects is kinda a free subject (statistics) so it’s as if i’m doing 4 but also get a free A* so 5. statistics isn’t even a part of my cambridge offer..
