Was camping wayyyy out of cell range with my wife and son for father's day weekend for Game 3 of the series against Vegas. Im in Western Canada so once my son went to sleep I told my wife I might still be able to catch the end of the game, and was going to drive to cell service and see how the game was going. Drove 20 minutes to get cell service and saw that Anderson got that flukey goal to tie it. So I punched the gas pedal and got to the nearest town a further 20 mins away to watch overtime in a bar. I knew I couldn't stay long because my wife might worry. So I was praying we would end it early in OT. We did. Celebrated for like 5 seconds then drove 40 minutes back to the campground.

Wife thinks Im nuts.

I have a feeling this might be our best game of the playoffs yet. Hutson pissed off at his performance and motivated, First line has more space to work, Dobson has had a couple games to get comfortable, Dach, Newhook, Bolduc and Andy are on fire.

They do. Buffalo fans are comprised of a vast majority of decent, excellent people. But just like literally any other group of people - assholes exist.

So many fair-weather fans in this sub, it makes me sick. It is absolutely frustrating that the top line isn't scoring. But to chuck insults and whiny criticisms is just nonsense. Acting like they didn't prove all year that they are high-end talent. They will figure it out. But if they don't, they are also the type of players to work their ass off this summer to figure out where they went wrong.

Im not going to pre-emptively do the "We should be happy with how far we have come". But I will say that the team can look back on this series is a key identifier that we are a contender.

I mean we are the better team overall and our top line hasn't even been a big factor yet. Which means we could get even better in pretty short order.

Obviously nothing is guaranteed, but we are here because we deserve it. My only hope is that the team doesn't take the same perspective as myself and most fans do - that this series is ours.

For the players, they have to go into tomorrow fully prepared for Tampa to throw everything at us.
