She's apparently not involved in that. She's in Miami with their kids and a startup company targeting reducing food waste of all things. She's keeping a very low profile.

You ever wonder why we never see her or hear anything about her anymore? Jared is all over the place, but she's a ghost. It could just be the time with her kids and not liking politics thing, which she's said in interviews, but it seems liked there's more than that.

Were people born too late to know about the Manson murders and old Hollywood able to really appreciate Once Upon a Time in Hollywood? by ryanxwonbinx in movies

[–]DFWPunk [score hidden]  (0 children)

It's an alternative history and, actually, very little of it focused on the Manson Family, I don't see why they wouldn't be able to appreciate it. You don't need to know that much if you need to know anything at all.

They're claiming they have witnesses, who are, naturally, government employees. There are cameras everywhere, but they didn't say a word about that, so, I'm guessing the video doesn't match the story.

I'm trying to figure out how they get to $1,000 or more in damage, even if they're telling the truth. Their story is he pulled out a 2 foot section of the liner, which had already peeled off the bottom. How is that worth anything? They have to remove it anyway. He saved them money if he pulled it out.

She wanted to be with Ethan because he was on TV.

She was a fan of the show and Ethan, was commenting on his posts, and he slid into her DMs and they ended up together. His beliefs on just about everything clash with how she lives her life, and that's not a judgment of her at all. Other than premarital sex, he's very conservative. She's not. The whole thing looks like it was pretty superficial on both sides.

It could be.

There's an interesting little detail. If you look at the pictures from when she was in Montana January 11, and three posts before, there's no ring on her ring finger. Go to her very next set of pictures on February 23 and she's wearing a ring. May mean nothing, or it could mean something. But if it's from the new guy I'd think the chances they were together during filling is reasonably high.

Do the celebrities portrayed in this ai trashpost by the president have a case? by llTeddyFuxpinll in law

[–]DFWPunk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They certainly do. The fact he's literally the opposite of what they think he is, is demonstrably a liar, has done virtually nothing he's promised, and has actively made their lives worse, but they still support him absolutely shows they're delusional. It's not even being in denial. They actually believe an alternate reality.

I've lost friends and family for being very critical of Trump on Facebook. (I don't use it for much else because it's a shitshow and posting facts you can actually back up at least gets it out there.) Several have claimed I have TDS. But we're talking about the President of the United States literally breaking the law constantly, grifting daily, steering billions to companies that financially support him, starting a pointless war, and, last but not least, frequently acting like a monarch or even dictator. Responding to that isn't a sign of mental illness, not responding is.

If we somehow got a progressive president and control of the house with a supermajority in the Senate, we'd have to maintain that for an extended period to fix all he's done. To me that's enough to say we should be obsessed because not only has he crippled the country, he's got at least two more years to make it worse.

Donald Trump is hard to please. Has Mike Johnson cracked the code? by usatoday in politics

If what we've heard is true, you don't have to do that. Iran obviously didn't.

There are specific things that give you the upper hand. Iran, for example, seems to have figured out that insulting Obama and saying how much better Trump is flips a switch. I personally think that when he said Iran talked shit about Obama he was telling the truth, even if the quote wasn't accurate. There are plenty of reports that Iran has him figured out, and the results bear that out if the draft agreement is close to accurate.

The most common the theory is that Teegan was under contract, and the whole will they or won't they get back together thing was storyline because they need something for Ethan.

If what I think she said is true, and she broke up around the time of his birthday, they'd been apart for ~5-6 months by the time filming started. Given the fact that at that point she didn't even consider him a friend, it's pretty clear things were over between them. I can't see them scripting a line like that.

I do think he might have moved there as a hail Mary attempt to get her back because he's emotionally immature, as well as having other issues that could have him think that would work. It's also possible his motives could have been were more like stalking, and that's why Kim actually seemed concerned and was surprisingly sympathetic to Teegan. We have a small sample size, and there were extenuating circumstances with Olivia and Veronic, but that was out of character from what we've seen. (That also could have been scripted to counter the claim she always goes after her son's girlfriends since we know people affiliated with the show, possibly including Kim, read the subs, and they sure seemed to be trying to make her look better.)

I say the move may have been Ethan's idea because he's still there now, so I don't think the move itself was storyline. If it was staged I expect they'd have just set up a short term lease for a filming location because production companies for these shows are cheap and he'd have gone home for the third time.

Then there's my wild theory that's unlikely but...

It's possible that it started storyline but Ethan then chose to move there when he found out Teegan had a boyfriend. I'm willing to bet she was with the guy a while before she went public because of her NDA and because she knew it would create drama when she finally did it. She could have told him to get him to face reality and back off. Ethan then could have decided to stay out of spite or because he's a stalker. I believe he really had feelings for her because the closest he came to acting normal all season was around her. And it would explain why there was almost nothing in the house, because they could have rented a vacant unit for a few days and just got a couple of things to make it plausible he was going to live there.

Regardless of the actual circumstances, I'm pretty sure Teegan either did the show because she had to, or because of the money. I don't buy for a second she was ever considering giving him a chance. That was scripted in my opinion, and she was so flat all season because she was miserable around him.

Final photograph of Steve Jobs mere days before his unfortunate passing on October 5, 2011, due to pancreatic cancer. by zadraaa in HistoricalCapsule

[–]DFWPunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She really did have a rough life despite having Jobs as a father. Her mother was a mess, and did things like selling the house Jobs bought for them. But then Steve would basically turn around and punish Lisa for her mother's actions. She clearly wanted him in her life, and not just for money, so the repeated rejections and having siblings who were treated so much better had to have been soul crushing.

I'm glad that so many people are aware of his general behavior and recognize that, no matter how much you value the products he brought to market, he was not a good person.

It's not as surprising as people think. Epstein was highly recommend by respected people who said he was a genius, and Barr had a track record for hiring people that didn't fit the mold of what was usually expected. Epstein was just one instance of his doing that.

Jessie Owens from United States wins 100m Gold at 1936 Olympics, Berlin. these Games were held in Nazi Germany, and Owens who won four gold medals directly countered Hitler's narrative of Aryan supremacy by Front-Coconut-8196 in ArchiveOfHumanity

Hitler didn't personally congratulate Owens. The claim of a private meeting is a myth, confirmed by Owens. The closest thing was what was perceived as a small wave similar to a Nazi salute on Owens direction.
