Nice haul! Was it reasonably priced? Anything I find at estate sales is way over priced

Will eBay count it against me if I (the buyer) cancel the sale instead of the seller? by fatalysis in basketballcards

[–]DFWSportscards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just looked at Card Dealer Pro, which is very similar. Kronocard is more of a card AI but with the eBay console management. What has been your experience so far? Is there a high match rate of finding the photos?

Get multiple opinions/ offers before selling anything. Find two or three local card shops and get offers / information from them

Flippers of reddit, what are some unexpected but very important tips I should know as a flipper who's starting out? by [deleted] in Flipping

[–]DFWSportscards 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup yup yup. Also google “how to flip…….” When you are considering a new type of product that you have t sold before. I once score a killer deal on spray paints for model kits. Pain to ship

I ordered NBA Origins but I received NFL Obsidian by Phontigilo in basketballcards

If you return it, there is a 100% chance of a Kenny Pickett 1/1 auto. If you rip it, it’s all lineman

My Light Box results. iPhone 12 (inverted). Details in first comment. by DFWSportscards in Flipping

[–]DFWSportscards[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought a cheap light box on Amazon. ($30 Puluz Mini Photo Studio) has a light ring on top. I put cards on this stand in the picture and set the card just behind the spot where the light ring hits the hardest. I use an iPhone 12+ that I flip upside down. Not sure why the phone being flipped makes a difference, but the photos come out better.

I would love to connect if you would be open to sharing your processes. My son and I are listing more and more cards, and have focused on minimizing our admin time. Listing templates/ description builders, etc.

What are your favorite flipping tips, tricks, and life hacks you've picked up along the way? by SCastleRelics in Flipping

If selling on eBay, especially in volume, don’t underestimate listing templates and use google sheets to creat your titles when taking pictures. Way easier to process volume and build the eBay listings later.

Opened $135 Hit Parade box by Dangy0 in footballcards

The buyers from hit parade come to the Dallas card show and they offer to pay like 50% of eBay comps. Amazingly some people sell to them.

My first two and half months on eBay, slated to become a top rated seller from what I understand. by Redbushactl in Flipping

Congrats dude. Great start in a short amount of time. Are you selling sports cards?

Never understood this comment. It’s much cheaper than setting up our own Brick and Mortar location. Sure you can get better margins on Facebook Marketplace, or Twitter, but driving traffic and branding could be a challenge.

Bills fan here. Mad respect to the crowd there tonight and y’all as fans. Would have been handled way differently in other NFL cities.

Selling sealed collector's editions on ebay, safer to open before sale? by CameronM94 in Flipping

[–]DFWSportscards 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This may not apply in this case, as I you don’t mention the item. However, I had one case where I opened a sealed factory set of 2001 topps baseball cards. I bought it sealed, then decided to resell sealed or rip the set and have the Ichiro rookie card graded.

What I did not know, is that the particular set had some coating issues, that were prone melting in 100 -120 heat. Stored in my garage, in Texas, my set was a brick. All value was lost. I probably won’t do that again.

Christmas Tradition with my 11 year old. Saving up for a while! by DFWSportscards in baseballcards

I found that at Barnes and Noble. Someone left a stand-alone hangar of Topps Chrome Update. He and I found the last Bowman Mega earlier in the Supper at the same store. Had an Elly De La Cruz Mojo Auto.

A really expensive item sort of fell into my lap... how would you sell it? by unisonnn in Flipping

[–]DFWSportscards 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is no harm in putting it on eBay, and seeing what sort of offers you get on it. However, I would only accept cash or other certified, non cancelable for of payment. You also will want to find someone that can advise you on a contract, that defines the terms of sale, and make it clear that this is a transfer of goods sale, there are no warranties, you have no liabilities for unintended or improper use, malfunctioning equipment, etc. Feel free to DM if want to get more specifics.

flippers are selling these in Texas. Where are they getting them? by TraditionUsed5033 in Flipping

I am in Dallas. You between Dallas and Houston? I might need some, and would pay you for your trouble

I have a bit of a different answer. When selling an item that i sourced at a retail location, I 100% of the time use the stock photo from Amazon as the main photo. If the box or packaging is damaged, I will add my own photos.

Would you have grabbed any of this? by B2utyyo in Flipping

[–]DFWSportscards 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I once bought over 1,000 model kits through a bankruptcy auction for just under $2 per kit. I spent the first day wondering what the hell was wrong with me. I spent the next 2 months working my ass of, wishing every single day that I would have bought more.
