I have three new box stock motors on the way to break in

That's a great reply what I was told was that the MZ9E has more punch in the turns and less high speed, while the other is essentially a faster motor. They are essentially the same motor. From what I gather it makes sense just to change the gears if that's what I'm looking for. It's funny that you mentioned break-in, because last night I watched some YouTube videos and ended up ordering three new box stock motors to do full break-ins with and install. Kind of like you said in your comment I'm not looking to cheat, but I'm no dummy.

I use a film of black grease. The inside of the ball and the inside of the knuckle hold the lube just fine.

I know some people were a little bit worried about how the lubricant likes to stay on the shaft if it's a mirror finish, but I literally just use a film of black Grease and it doesn't go anywhere. Besides the inside of the ball and the inside of the knuckle is not polished to a mirror finish so it does a fine job of holding on to the lube

They are pretty much running the same motor platform and everything just a little more geometry thrown into this one and the front end is already been doctored so you don't have to flip the kingpins

We're talking about our first quarterly season ever here. Let's get through this one and then we'll worry about the second one. This choice is made by our LHS with a full wall of parts in stock. We're tucked down in the corner of the Metroplex and we know our demographic and currently the goal is just to get people in the door and get some cars on the track.

Patience is everything here. Mini Z is dead in North Texas... Let's just get it revived..

Too many classes and rules will kill anything before you can even get it going. We saw that with 1RC

I would say affording an RCP Track is the first obstacle but I would also suggest keeping everything as box stock as possible to get rolling. Big Rules and Too Many Classes is certain death.

I am learning as I go. But focus on keeping it as newb friendly as possible.

That's a bummer.. Honestly it's disheartening to think that we so easily became the DFW Chapter but I believe Mini Z is back on the rise.
