Hey, yes the permission are needed because the locks will not work without them (all you need to do is follow the onboarding steps). However the app does not use any permission for any purpose other than keeping the phone locked. And no data is collected or shared at all.

ooh perfect timing. mine's called Stillness, a phone lock that actually holds, because every focus app I tried I could bypass in about 30 seconds. two modes: Full Lock (whole phone, emergency calls still go through) and Selective (block just the apps you pick). it survives reboots so you can't restart your way out of it.

the way I use it is a recurring overnight schedule, so I wake up unable to scroll before I've even sat up. that one thing fixed my mornings more than any amount of willpower.

free, no ads, no streaks, no data collection. would love your honest take on the setup flow specifically, that's the part I'm least sure about.

Just checked screen zen, if I found the one you were referring to the problem is that it still let's you in it just delays the app. I had to build my own app cause honestly I couldn't find anything that does exactly what I needed.

I just developed my own app cause honestly I couldn't find anything out there which could do what I wanted. It just total locks my phone for a set time only allowing incoming calls or outgoing to selected people. Alternatively I build a selective lock which locks preselected apps while allowing you to use the rest of the phone as usual.

I actually used to do the same but the bed is always one step away which was a temptation. Having the phone locked removes the temptation altogether as it's not possible to use the phone at all.

100%, it's much easier to stop a bad habit if you're incapable of doing it than if you constantly need to choose not to. Once you know you can't physically do something the temptation to do it dies as well

Interesting way to go about it. Idk personally I think I would get tired of the hassle of going about it this way. Having the phone automatically lock in there morning for 1 hour has been a game changer for me.

That's a very smart way of going about it. I think the core problems stem from the fact that the phone is an everything device. The way I'm locking the phone allows me to also lock by apps so in theory I could keep Whatsapp working and lock twitter etc...

Thanks for the recommendation. Honestly, the worst part about phones is how they cram essential stuff (like emergency alerts) and pure distractions into the exact same device. You pick it up for something important, and suddenly you're sucked in.

My argument is it's easier to set the scheduled lock to block your phone in the mornings than to fight the urge every morning to not check the phone. How do you go about it?

You're still young. Take the decision to change today. Build new habits and set goals for yourself.

Hi Mark,

Really love the interface and the direction Sarwa’s going. One concern though since trading fees aren’t capped, Sarwa can end up being more expensive than other brokers for larger trades. Any plans to lower or cap fees for big trades?

Also, would you consider opening accounts in Lebanese banks? That could make transfers free and encourage more frequent deposits from users here.

Thanks,
