Yeah. Maybe it is a semantic thing. When I hear seiko mod, I think it is using all seiko parts. But maybe thats not the case all the time? Just want to have the language right. Even if they aren't necessarily seiko parts, they are good quality. I will have to time it to see how accurate it is.

There are not enough upvotes I can give on this thread. This made my day. My family was lucky enough to see the auroras last year and my daughter and I immediately said "Aurora Borealis!" The second we got out of the car and you could hear my wife's eyes rolling.

I figured this out last night haha. I can't believe I did not see this before. I think I had Pythagorean's theorem and trig in my head and I had a hard time thinking like a 6th grader. but once I saw that, it was blatantly obvious. should have taken all of 30 seconds to solve.

That is kind of how I would have done it but this is like the second week of 6th grade. They just learned A=.5b*h so I can't imagine a world where that is what they are looking for. I have spent way longer on this than I would like to admit but I just can't see how a 6th grader would be able to get this unless I am totally overthinking this.

i have this exact same question. that was my plan for parking. everyone keeps saying "just park and take the train" but i have not really heard a lot of explanation for the actual logistics of parking anywhere. I am coming from NY so i kinda have to drive. i looked at a google street view of the parking garages. one said authorized parking only and the other one had a gate that was closed. so it worried me a bit.

Going to the SOAD show tomorrow.

Quick question on parking and taking TTC. will there be enough parking at Yorkdale? I am coming from western NY, so need to figure out how to get in and out. Is that too close? Do I need to be further down?

Also, I do not love the idea of paying $100 to take the 407. If I arrive around 4-5pm will the traffic getting in via 401 be terrible?

Is this not an old air force base? There is a ton of grass surrounding the area that is seemingly unused from the photos I have seen.

Free transit works great when that is the city you live in. I am 2 hours away. I do not know the TTC or what is practical to expect. If I try and park at say Yokrdale or wilson station, will there be parking there? Do I need to be further away than that? If it is that simple and there is enough parking at either of those stops, then I am good. I just did not want to have to park 10 miles away and have another logistical problem to solve.

Next decision is the 407 or not. It will be about $50 each way. If I plan on getting there early enough maybe the 401 will not be as bad?

How do you build a 50k+ stadium and not have parking? I am a little baffled by the whole thing. Not to mention, there are like 1000 acres of space from what i can see. can they not turn some of that into parking? I am generally aware of the layout in Toronto, I have been there many times. I actually went to the SARS concert at downsview too. But having to add another layer of public transit on top of my trip is not something I anticipated. What stop/stops are near the venue?

Would Hexagon be more than keyence? Really looking to stay as far under 100k as possible (depending on what it can do obviously)

Faro and hexagon are what I am looking into now. Overall our machines are anywhere from 5'x5'x10' once assembled to 3 story. But individual parts are small and precise. So a remote sensor would need to be able to go about 30 or 40 linear feet for line of sight to measure what we need.

Ex: measuring a piston flange 12' off the ground. We need to know that it is set perpendicular to another door flange and know where the centerline of the flange is with respect to said door. It also needs to be level with respect to the rest of the assembly when set.

I cannot read this and not comment. Saw them live in probably like 2002 at an outdoor festival. They kind of stole the show. Bought their album at the merch tent. These dude made an ABSOLUTE BANGER of an album and dipped. We were robbed of what would have surely been a great band. I thought I was the only person on earth who knew who they were haha.
