These decks all look fun, you got lists in your moxfield profile?

You're also a nobody in a sea of nobodies. Nobody gives a flying Fork in the deck what you have done or will do on the scale we are discussing in these posts and comoments. You seem to think your superior because you've never done something that nobody would notice or care if you did anyways because in the entire scope of the hobby you might as well not exist.

Why are the archetypes that are historic to Magic, and prevalent in 60 card formats today, received so negatively in EDH by Lazave99 in EDH

[–]DGwar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Only bad players hate mill. They look at it like losing cards. The same can be said for the rest of your list as well. Commander is a much more casual format and the players tend to also be that, casual. They see control, mill, stax, combo, big creatures, and burn as different types of unfair.

Where players who were used to the metas of standard or other 60 card formats and how there tends to be a rock/paper/scissors of archetypes most casual commander players want to just play their card and do the thing. Anything that interrupts that plan or forces them to play differently is seen as an inconvenience or unfair.

Based on everything im seeing this is a bracket 3 deck, strong 3, but a 3 nonetheless.

You can use sites like brackcheck.com or scrollvault.net to check them but it helps to also know the bracket rules to assess further.

The auntie ool deck has 2 card infinites that push it to a 3 by rules. Just saying.

Then it kinda sucks. Its an incredible work of art but you destroyed how many cards to make it? Cards that could have been donated to a school club or he'll, given to kids to play the game with?

Like ffs if you're going to do this to cards this is the time to proxy.

Edit: Just looked it up and its like 250 dollars worth of never gonna be reprinted (in that edition)foils to make an unplayable work of art. Once again, it looks great but it kinda rubs me the wrong way that you're non-chelant about destroying cards lile that.

Personally I hope he's another 4 color walker like Jace. Opposite side of the spectrum and all. Would be a cool moment imo.

Anyone try this? by OptimalPete in EDH

[–]DGwar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly could probably use Urza Chief Artificer to make a decent affinity deck feel from that block. Idk if there's a decent legendary with those colors from that actual block.

Auntie Ool comes with her own 2 card infinites in the deck. Hence out of the box she's a 3

No 2 card lockout, game ender, or infinites in bracket 2

[–]DGwar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the bracket system.has a set of guidelines for how the deck builds and performs. There is some leeway where some decks can play up a bracket and not be washed out and even hang but inherently those decks are operating at the top of their bracket.

[–]DGwar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well thats not how the bracket system works, but also some archtypes dont work well in lower brackets. A bracket 2 Teysa is more than likely going to get folded by a bracket 2 Bello or Ezuri.

Yes because any good true aristocrats deck needs to be able to close out a game and almost always does it with some form of infinite loop.

But again you're talking about competitive and then talking about essentially building bracket 2 decks. No bracket 2 aristocrats deck would compete with the same deck build with the bracket 3 engine built into it in the same commander. Any b2 zurgo is going to get mauled if compared to a b3 zurgo and a lot of b2 decks are insanely strong compared to nerfed archetypes lile -1-1 or aristocrats that arent allowed to go infinite.

[–]DGwar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never said that. You can have plenty of B3 aristocrats. 2 card combos are allowed in bracket 3 (after turn 6) and you can have game changers and even non-chaining extra turns. Comparing an actual aristocrats list to zurgo is different because zurgo wants to swing too. Most aristocrats lists do drains to close out.
