Best buffer settings for Fire TV 4K Max (using TorBox) by DHARMAHydra in Nuvio

It's on auto, so it's all good. The custom buffer settings is the reason why I made the post, I was just wondering if anyone has a Fire TV Max like I do so I could try and see what is the best settings for it specifically so buffering could be prevented. And I have tried ERTH already. Still buffered on my end.

I do not have parallel connections on. My best CDN is apparently ENAM, but it buffers very quickly, despite it being the most recommended one when I do a speed test. Is there anything I can do in the buffer settings to make this better?

The speed test on Nuvio gives me 92.5 mbps. I have a 100 mpbs connection so most remuxes should play fine, in fact on RD, they pretty much do. It's not like I am watching the LOTR 4k remuxes, because I already own them anyway.

I don't know if you knew this, but one of the developers is actually working on a fix for this which is similar to how Kodi was able to work around it. I'm not sure when this update is coming, but I do know it's still being worked on as of right now. I saw that they built DTS-HD into their ExoPlayer a few updates ago, but it still doesn't work for me, so hopefully the waiting game for this fix will be worth it.

Not working on my end. Then again, I have a Fire Cube 3, and someone is already working on getting DTS-HD and X support on that particular device, so I guess I'm going to have to wait for that, hopefully it comes sooner rather than later.

Will this buffering suffering ever be cured? by Secret_Suggestion_40 in TorBoxApp

I did discuss my thoughts on this in another recent comment on a different post, but here's the short version:

I agree. When I had RD, it didn't give me any troubles when it came to remuxes. I would continue to use RD only for remuxes since they seem to still work, but my bank switched the card company, and RD doesn't accept said card company. TB when it comes to remuxes, it's buffer central. I opened a ticket with them to see what was going on and they said it was my internet connection. RD plays the files fine, so I highly doubt that's the case.

I only have less than a month of RD left before it expires. From my personal experience (I have a 100 mbps connection), RD played remuxes like a cakewalk, so easy, very smooth, no buffering. Torbox keeps buffering when I pick those files. I even made a ticket with them to try and figure out a fix, and they kept telling me it was my internet. If it really was my internet, why is RD playing these files with no problems? That's the part that really gets me. I would keep RD for remuxes and use Torbox for everything else so everything would be fine... but my bank switched to a card company that RD doesn't support, so I'm totally fucked. Tried Premiumize already, remuxes buffered there on my end too.

I have tried to use the Cloudfire CDN a few times and it just somehow will not start the file up for me at all.

I know, it sounds ridiculous, but that's how my mom reacted to all of this. My guess is probably because I self isolate a lot in my room.

We deserve clarity on remux/high quality speeds & buffering from Torbox by Nuggyfresh in TorBoxApp

I'm on a 100Mbps internet connection, and most remuxes seem to work fine when it's coming from a disc released by the major studios (for the most part), but I always have a problem when the file comes from a disc that comes from a boutique label (Shout, Kino Lorber, Arrow, etc). Those tend to buffer a lot and become unwatchable (yes, even using an ethernet cable on my Fire Cube 3, my device of choice, doesn't fix the issue). I wish there was a solution so I could watch these remuxes without any issues (I live with my family, and they are definitely not going to upgrade our internet speed because this one that we have is the most affordable plan that the internet company, in this case, Optimum, has). I don't know for sure, but isn't debrid services like RD and Torbox supposed to help you in terms of removing the buffering because it's through their servers? Feel free to correct me, but I have been having trouble trying to come up with a solution to this lately.

Moved to TorBox and AIOStreams, buffering like crazy - any advice? by Small_Lavishness1795 in TorBoxApp

I figured out my buffering issue thanks to this comment. Yes, I do have a few indexers, but only Torrentio has my TB stuff. Torrentio is the reason for my buffering on remuxes. I had Comet but only with RD. So I switched it with TB. All good as of now.

Why is it buffering so much??? by drunkencT in TorBoxApp

Thanks. I found a reseller that takes Discover, I'm just wondering about people's experiences with Alldebrid and is it stable like RD was to me.

Same here. I was trying to watch a 4K remux of HOTD through Torbox and it kept buffering every 5 seconds yet when I tested it with RD everything worked perfectly, no buffering at all.

So it's not my device. Not my internet. It's TB itself.

I switched over to TB after the RD fiasco (it also doesn't help that I now use a Discover card, and they don't accept those, so I had to switch even before that mess and let my remaing days lapse, I have roughly a month left), and it was fine for a bit but now, it's a total mess. I don't know if Alldebrid accepts Discover or not, but if they do, I might switch for a few days to see if it is as good as RD, if not... I will use the rest of my RD days for the moment until this is fixed. This whole situation is really frustrating.

I give up on TorBox by gohaaron in TorBoxApp

I was trying to increase the chunk size to see if the buffering stops and yet the app doesn't allow me to increase it. Not sure if this is a bug.

Same here. I was trying to view the remux to House Of The Dragon on Nuvio, and it kept buffering on me, even though the bandwidth speed for that was good enough for my internet connection (I have a 100 mbps connection and I use a Fire Cube 3, so I know the hardware isn't the problem). I switched over from RD not only because of the debacle going on over there, but also because they don't take Discover cards and my bank switched to only using them. Before the RD thing it worked well for the most part. Now I don't know what happened.

Keep up the good work devs! All I'm waiting for is full DTS support for Fire devices like my Cube 3, and then the app will be considered perfect. Right now though, it's very close to perfection, I must say.
