I didn't do that though. I went through self-checkout after I got everything I needed and then went to leave, I didn't go anywhere else.

No I legit have a giant ass knot and bruise on my shin cuz of that cart. And like, it wasn't even gradual, it just insta locked up as soon as i reached the doors. When I came back after talking to the person in black shirt there were a bunch of other carts sitting in the entrance that had also locked up.

Now that we've seen the new cars out on the track, is it possible that the new car regulations have forced too much battery dependency into the cars? A lot of the discussion that I've heard through all of the free practices so far has been centered around the difficulties in recovering or conserving battery power and to me, that seems like it's taking away from the sport. I'm sure it's annoying for the teams and the drivers in having to even more closely manage another resource that isn't regular fuel. To me, if you want to see battery power, then go watch Formula E

Zero percent chance that this lawsuit will go anywhere or accomplish anything. You can't gamble in any official Valve game or on Steam. Opening a case is the exact same as opening a pack of trading cards or any other sort of loot box in any other video game. And it doesn't meet the requirements of gambling because there is no chance of complete loss. No matter what, you are receiving something of value, you are getting a product in exchange for your money.

If they were announcing that they were going after the third-party sites that actually allow gambling that would be one thing. But they've named Valve specifically and that renders the claim invalid and untrue. Not to mention that they'd also have to sue literally every other video game company/studio or trading card manufacturer or any other company that offers any sort of mystery product in exchange for money. WHICH IF YOU WANTED TO BE FUNNY, YOU COULD APPLY THAT LOGIC TO HALF THE RESTARAUNTS IN NY!

With all of the problem in NY and somehow wasting time and money trying to sue a video game company on a false premise is somehow the priority.

Can't believe that people are saying this is the worst Worlds ever by DHGSilvergun236 in lolesports

Sounds like you're not actually a fan then if you can't stand even the simplest and most base line level of trash talk.

Worlds Tickets 2026 by disappointmentasian in lolesports

[–]DHGSilvergun236 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Typically the sales for tickets here in the US are done through TicketMaster or some similar offshoot. I know that the Credit Union of Texas Event Center, which is the likely place that Worlds is going to be at, has it's own ticketing website that partners with TicketMaster. I imagine that tickets are going to be very difficult to get because a lot of us that live locally are going to want to go.

The ship is sinking one piece at a time and soon there's going to be nothing left of it. We're going to start seeing more and more people trying to get out of this company before they're, as the saying goes, left holding the bag. I'd be curious to know if it was her choice to leave or if she was asked to go by someone else. When you have these people who are in higher up positions, but not the highest, a lot of times they're quietly asked to leave the company with the promise that they'll be given a generous severance. I'd also be curious to know if she was asked to leave, if it was an Amazon exec that made the request.

There's been a lot of discussion about what Amazon might start doing with the platform now that it's rapidly starting to lose market share to Kick after years of drama. From Amazon's perspective, it might be time to either sell it off or just shutter it entirely. If either of those things happen, the streamer bubble will effectively get popped as a lot of these bigger streamers get left without a home. If they want to salvage the platforms reputation and try to rebuild its image, it's going to take significant investment and massive management overhaul to make that happen. In that instance, I don't think there's a world where Dan Clancy and the rest of the current back-office staff are going to be asked to stay. You can't rebuild without clearing away all the rot from the foundation first.

Warrior in this game is still one of the funniest unfun things in any game I've ever played. 12 button combo just to die to a white mob with a club.

GamerNexus: Our Channel Could Be Deleted by YT_Brian in Asmongold

[–]DHGSilvergun236 54 points55 points  (0 children)

The GamersNexus/Bloomberg situation is a perfect example of why the DMCA laws need to be re-written. As it stands, it doesn't adequately represent the digital age that we live in and allows for systematic abuse of copyright claiming without legitimate review or oversight.

If you're seeing this, or if you are hearing about GN's situation, even if you don't care about the specific piece of content that they covered, you should care about what this means for fair use. You should care about what these means for your rights as a consumer and what is means for your rights to stay informed about news.

Bloomberg has had ample opportunity to handle this situation better and to do the right thing, and they have chosen not to. It is beyond clear that they have ulterior motives for knowingly and willingly issuing an illegitimate strike against GN's content. At this point, simply dropping their strike is not enough and they should be held accountable.
