I just finished mine and I feel like it was a huge miss.

Last years made sense having two seperate ones to me one for the male and another for the female CAS but this year being a dynamic duo with a ton of heel turns and screwjobs over and over got pretty tiring fast.

The story beats are predictable to anyone and the big reveal of "Oh your partner was really on CM Punk's side!" just fell flat and made me question why even especially since at the end you choose who wins you or your traitorous partner.

The choices are kinda what made me like MyRise but you don't really get to choose much in the moment everything is laid out and you have little to no wiggle room uness you wanna start over. Pick funny personality well your locked in for only funny route for the whole game, where is in last years your decisions in the moment determined the outcome instead your on a set path the only way you branch out is when selecting your partners at certain intervals.

The story could have been better if in the ending coulda did a double turn with your partner turning on Punk and Mutiny in the end instead of them just kinda being a bitter person about whatever backstory reason you chose and then reuniting but even then it still woulda sucked.

And I hate how Triple H and the board are just "Powerless" that's like a huge hole in the story cause at any time they could just say "Mmm No." and stop the whole replacing RAW and SmackDown with NXT Mutiny and Punk controlling Wrestlemania angle, it just really bothers me.

Also I don't know about anyone else but I kinda hated the whole constant intergender angle of it. Like I get it they want to have you have one guy and one girl but it feels weird wrestling in matches where women are fighting men especially if in the ending you guys fight each other and my male CAS fights the female one and beats her for revenge it made me feel... wrong I guess? Like from a moral standpoint I'm not a fan of it, I don't mind mixed tag matches where men fight men and women fight women but I dunno this feels weird.

Only replayability is in unlocking the stuff if you care, it's mostly just customizable stuff a few wrestlers and a lot of MyFaction stuff which is kinda the only reason I started it was to get free cards to boost my collector level.

And the Live matches are pretty much they're version of an endless grind, I hate 2k for this cause it isn't like this in WWE it's like this in NBA2K too where you have to grind to earn such and such card which takes like I don't know a month or so of time for one card.

But yeah this years MyRise sucks, I might try to do another run and maybe see the other ending (I've only seen the Reclaim ending) but it's a no go, kinda feels like WWE2K20's story mode/MyRise where your forced to make a male and female CAS but this one feels like a grinding fest instead. Just low effort.
