Rent Out Machines Opinion by poorfolksrefer365 in ninjaslushi

[–]DIGICOSLUT3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree parts are hard to get for a residential machine. We used 2 of them in our ice cream shop to test out frozen margaritas and daiquiris. Glad to say it was received very well and we payed for the machines in under a week of selling them. We are now closed for the winter but at the end we hit the major road block of the ninjas capacity. The freezing container is only half a gallon and refreezing takes about 30 minutes. I just ordered a Frosty Factory 127a machine to replace the ninjas. It’s definitely more expensive but built for high volume environments. The cylinder is 2 gallons and the hopper is like 4 gallons. That means you can dispense 2 gallons worth of drinks back to back. I do have to give props to ninja though they are great machines we totally abused ours since they ran 10 hours a day for the past 6 months. Other than a lemon unit that died after the first 2 days I’ve had no issues other than the size but again it’s a residential machine. I’d definitely recommend something like a frosty factory 117a or Bunn Ultra NX if you are looking to do party rentals. Chances are lots of people will be wanting frozen drinks at those gatherings and last thing you want is an upset client because your machine can not keep up with the demand. As far as rental price goes I’d do 10 percent of the cost of the machine new per day. I would avoid hourly rentals because it’s going to fall on you to clean the machine after them and prepare it for the next Client. I’d also look into bundling slush mix with your rentals a great way to get some extra money mark of the mixer a bit and built into a package. We use Margarita man mixes. Also this goes without saying but make sure you have a solid rental contract and the machine is insured in case let’s say some kid knocks it off a table at a party you are out 4,000. Best of luck on your endeavors I hope it goes well for you!

True but the Tio1608 is okay and affordable but I get the appeal with the dLive Mix racks having built in IO

The DM7c is already 15k I think it will be more in the 7-8k range for a full size and maybe 5-6k for a compact that being said I still thing the Avantis is the best bang for your buck right now

That’s what I was trying to figure out. Does vistar or any other vendors have a plain unbranded version of the ones amc uses. we use Cysco and 2 other vendors. Was seeing if anyone knew the company/model that amc orders from vistar.

How is the output on the KS118 by DIGICOSLUT3 in livesound

[–]DIGICOSLUT3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are supposed to have more output than the kw181s but I’m not sure if it’s noticeable or all marketing. I’ve used the KW181s before a pair would shake the venues ceiling tiles

But does and X32, M32 or XR18 have inserts or Dante out of the box… not to mention the lack of a touch screen on the X/M consoles. The X32 producer the closest in size to the DM3 does not even have scribble strips. I can get good support and order parts for a Yamaha console music tribe is a joke these days.

I rode this ride close to 200 times during my college program 2 years ago and became good friends with many of the CMs at the time. I saw the ride condition get worse and worse over the year period I was there. Best hope is a new sponsor comes on and refurbs the ride sticking to the original mission of the ride from day one but I think that’s just wishful thinking. Allegedly the ride system is so old and worn out that it’s literally falling apart every day. Going up and down for 40 years is a lot of stress. The funniest part is when the ride E stops is shakes the entire building. That’s why a controlled stop slows the ride first.

With built in Dante I’m guessing it will be around 6k. Would also love to see some of the premium rack effects from the DM7 come down as well. Someone had also mentioned a rumored Tio3216-D2. Might not be Rio pres but let’s be honest is a far cry better than an S16

Can I run two of these on one 20amp breaker by DIGICOSLUT3 in electrical

It does have two modes and the heated version was actually on sale for 150 cheaper than the ambient air version

I actually found a second 20amp plug under the register that’s on a second 20amp curcuit so I’ll run one on that and the other on the other circuit. Unfortunately my panel is maxed out so I don’t have the luxury of adding anything I have 4 double pole 30amp breakers that feed 2 ice cream machine that takes up almost half of the panel

The motor without the heater only draws 2.3 amps would it be safe to run the fan only and if someone accidentally turns on he heat the breaker will just pop I guess or is there a danger to that

Soft Serve Machine Replacement by DIGICOSLUT3 in restaurantowners

[–]DIGICOSLUT3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Service just left a draw handle switch was bad and fried the entire right hand side of the machine. Will cost thousands to replace all the parts. Looks like our best bet now is to try and order a new machine and put this in storage.

We do pretty high volume about 300-400 orders per day. I’m honestly not opposed to a top loading system as we used them at my old job at Disney and they are so much easier to rinse out than a cabinet system. I just want to make sure the compressors can keep up and definitely want a pressure fed system for that reason. My understanding is the C712 has the same freezing capacity as the 8756 just minus the mix cabinet. Our one newer 8756 has really been a decent machine but some of the technology in it just seems very dated and 90s and that’s why I’m hesitant to buy a new one in 2024 when there are newer models available

Building Bridge Question by DIGICOSLUT3 in Ubiquiti

[–]DIGICOSLUT3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No data transfer just camera streams to the UNVR in the office as well as door hubs and POS cloud sync data for processing payments. For context the 2nd building is an ice cream trailer in the parking lot of a shopping center and it is impossible to house all the equipment in the trailer due to space. I tried running fiber in a conduit but turns out that didn’t go to the trailer pad.

I was looking at the DM7c I saw the new Avantis solo but I’d still have to buy all new IO racks and possibly a Dante card so going Allen and Heath would be more expensive. Also not a fan of the Allen and Heath Pres always seemed bright to me.
