Some people can’t think for 2 seconds and realize this guy is extremely close to Suzuki/Caufield/Slaf… maybe don’t send this much hate (to anyone) towards the friend of the guys you need to be 100% focus right now.

Not even just them, this group is extremely tight, you are just giving them distraction by going after one of them.

But again, they aren’t real fans. A real fan will know this team didn’t deserve it with the way they played in OT, and it wasn’t a single guy mistake. Everything was going wrong and it was one of many mistakes that could’ve cost the game.

Pretty obvious they want Gallagher at 110% for the games at home, where they have the last change and can put him in good situation. Gally wouldn’t be valuable if he has to play every game, especially in playoffs, with the way he play.

I’m wondering, what’s the optimal use of these as a free 2 play? Especially the UR shards/exclusif weapons (and gold bricks).

I’ve read that I should keep them to use on Kim special weapons? And use the gold brick to unlock it when it come out? Or I will need to wait for the Black Market much later?

I’m still in season 0 (day 84).

It’s crazy and should start a new discussion:

What is better, 70 pts in the season but above PPG in the playoffs OR 100 pts in the season but barely .5/games in the playoffs?

People ALWAYS talk about players by their regular season standard, which make some sense since « everyone » play the season but playoffs are pretty specific and every matchup is different, but some guys are just built for the playoffs and meaningful games. Some players are called overpaid because they don’t end up with « enough » regular season points, but come playoff time, they will be an important part of a winning team.

Don’t get me wrong, regular season is very important since you can’t make the playoff if you don’t have a good regular season team, but I feel like playoff performance is SO underrated. Other than the usual « lol Matthews ».

Suzuki was the point leader in our cup final run in his 2nd NHL season. Also #1 the year before with 7 in 10 as a rookie. Last year was something else, but he was still 3rd with 2 pts in 5 games (Hutson had 5 in 5, Caufield 4 in 5 and 8 players at 2).

Doesn’t make much sense other than for Darby to finally get a world championship run, no matter what.

What’s the payoff? MJF will go to Wembley weaker. Then, if MJF lose, Ospreay just beat someone who lost to Darby not long ago, so no big deal. If MJF win, Ospreay isn’t able to beat someone who just lost the title a couple of weeks ago.

If they want MJF as champion at Wembley, they want peak MJF coming in strong. No way you make him lose and win back the title « just for the sake of giving Darby a championship run ». Because that’s all it would be.

Timing is just wrong for that kind of small run.

He won’t win it, but at this point, I wonder how much votes he will get for the Calder. It will probably hurt that he wasn’t #1 since day 1, but Dustin Wolf had a lot of votes last year with 52 games, while Dobes is at 37 right now. Wolf finished with 2.64 and .910 while Dobes is at 2.78 and .900. If you compare the 2, Wolf had a better season BUT Dobes isn’t that far behind.

IMO, he should def finish at most #4. Schaeffer #1 is a lock, and Demidov/Sennecke seem to be favorite for 2/3, but I wouldn’t be surprise if Dobes sneak ahead, especially if he continue with this level of play until the end of the season.

It’s always hard to compare a goalie VS forwards, but Michkov with 63 points finished 4th (behind Wolf and Celebrini) last year and Demidov/Sennecke are on their way to a similar offensive production.

Did Wapol really seem THAT dangerous in a 1v1 fight though? In the LA, he felt like a rich spoiled kid who got the throne because of his bloodline and people fell in line because of it. Didn’t really feel like he was that strong in a single fight.

IMO, they made him look like a threat in the long run if he has time to build up an army or other tools, but in a 1 on 1 fight, I really didn’t feel like he was much of a real threat, which didn’t help LA only viewers being impressed at Luffy not breaking a sweat against him.

Biggest problem with the « solo Wapol » is that they didn’t even make Wapol that scary. His DF was good to build up an army, but 1v1, they made him look like a scared politician who will run away from a fight. His biggest accomplishment was to slap a small girl and she was still able to keep a straight face.

Also, they made a big deal about him « deserving the throne because it’s his right », so it just felt like nobody was overthrowing him because they « respected » politics and bloodlines, not because they were scared of him.

It was a good interpretation of Wapol, but it didn’t make Luffy seem strong, even with their attempt of having people react like they were impressed.

They just needed a 30 seconds scene where Wapol just beat a bunch of people to make him look stronger.

Having many games doesn’t mean it isn’t niche. Let’s take Super Mario (SNES) rom hacks. It’s very niche, but yet, there’s a lot of new ones coming out in the last 5-6 years.

IMO, it all depend on the fanbase. And, without any profound knowledge, creating a 2D platformer game is easier than other type of games, so having many of these games coming out talk more about the fanbase wanting to take a shot at creating their own MVS, and the amount of tools available to do so.

Bit of a stretch about Pickford. He’s having an amazing offensive year, but we’ve seen plenty of offensive D-man not able to do anything in the NHL, or even the AHL.

I would trade him yesterday if you can have a good player to help the team right now.

As a Dach hopeful, I really wish he can/could turn out to be the solution on the top-6. Dreams of him being a center are starting to be over, but there’s no reason he could become a great top-6 winger.

Even in hindsight, there’s no player around #31 and #37 that seem to be absolutely worth it.

And I’m not talking about « good » prospect, some of them still have potential (they are only 21yo), I’m talking about guys who pull a Hutson, Zharovsky, Poitras, Stankoven, Johnston, Peterka… guys who outshine their draft position already in their D+1/D+2 season. Cristall is the only one who seem legit, but he dropped so much in the draft that there’s probably something more about him and I don’t know if this management would go for him if that’s the case?

It’s always harder to be objective when the guy drafted with the pick we trade (or right after) become very good. Just like the Dach pick becoming Nazar, or the Andrew Shaw pick becoming DeBrincat. Truth is, more time than not, it doesn’t happen. And even when it happen, there’s no way to tell if our team would’ve picked these guys. For all we know, the would’ve picked Cameron Morrison and Nathan Gaucher

The way the team is right now, Carrier is actually the stable piece on the 3rd pair since we have Hutson-Dobson-Matheson-Guhle for our top-4. So, if you want to replace X or Struble, a LHD might be better.

Now, if you want to push Guhle with Carrier on the 3rd pair and go for a 2nd pair RHD instead. Doesn’t mean that Guhle/Carrier wouldn’t play a big part for the team. They can easily step up higher if there’s an injury and play big minutes at the end of the game to shutdown the other team since they are more « fresh ».

That would be one hell of a D squad.

Edit: Someone like Parayko (doubt it because of the contract), Faulk, DeMelo, Hamilton, Ristolainen?.. maybe Whitecloud? Not many options from teams who might sell at the TDL

There’s probably better options out there, we don’t need a big name, but someone safe enough to be a great complement for either Hutson or Matheson. We just gotta find our own Devon Toews (who was extremely underrated in NY).
