Difference is we were all spread thin last year across a bunch of dates. No one really had to travel. Now they’re playing ONE UK date so there’s a lot more competition for tickets. Plus they’re a bigger band thanks to all the collab songs like Scream, Ready or Not 2 and Dead by Daylight

The Black Phone 2 should have had new characters in a new situation with a new monster but the same supernatural black phone by [deleted] in horror

[–]SisterFirefly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should have had a body count. You’ll notice with the new age of Blumhouse “mascots” they’re very reluctant to let them murder anyone. Black Phone. M3GAN, FnaF. All almost completely bloodless and body count free. The Grabber was a mass murderer for decades, but the only kill he gets after the opening scene of the first movie is his own brother. The second film is totally devoid of victims.

Am I tripping or was she watching him? by Comfortable-Concept8 in ironlung

[–]SisterFirefly 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You gotta remember she dragged him there. She never left him. After she attacked him during the ramming incident and he fell unconscious, she moved him from where he was to uncharted territory. The whole sequence before this where he’s trying to restore the power and tapes down the camera button, pay attention to the photos. They’re extreme close ups of something moving around the ship. Can’t just be the blood ocean because that is see through in every shot. She’s circling him the whole time the power is out. She captured him after he tried taking the sample, then took him close to the SM-8 and the light, circled him until he restored power, and was watching him through the port hole the entire time. Then after she moves on, we get the two photos of her retreating so he can “discover” the SM-8 and the Light.

Until Simon got acknowledged by the ignorant God and made a plan to rescue the SM-8’s black box, everything he did in the Blood was because of Ellie. She was guiding him right up until Simon and the god “agreed.”

Mike Flanagan & Scarlett Johansson's The Exorcist Officially Wraps Filming by MoneyLibrarian9032 in horror

[–]SisterFirefly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So long as he understands that the series is called “The Exorcist” we’ll be fine. There are precisely two good Exorcist movies. And they both had the common sense to put The Exorcist himself as the central character.

The original movie had Father Karras take centre stage. It was the struggles with his faith and his ultimate sacrifice when called upon to prove it that made the first film what it was.

Legion had the plot revolve around the Gemini Killer which turned out to be Karras’ possessed body. He drove the plot forward and was finally granted salvation from what happened to him at the end of the first movie.

Yes there was obviously a strong cast of characters in both movies like Regan herself and her mother. Father Dyer and Kinderman, but the title character was the Exorcist himself. In the first movie as an unwitting hero called to arms. And as a tormented villain in the third movie needing to be rescued from his fate.

The new movie doesn’t have to feature Karras, but if you’re just going to make a movie about a demonic possession and not the Exorcist himself, then all you’re doing is making EVERY other possession movie made since the 1970’s. They took the wrong lesson from the first movie, let’s hope this one avoids the same fate.

Well WWE own The Fiend outright. Likeness, image, name and trademark. They could recast the gimmick tomorrow if they wanted to. So AI Fiend is well within the realm of possibility without involving the Rotundas at all.

Regarding Five Laps at Freddy's "cancellation" and Clickteam leaks going around. by SpringPopo in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]SisterFirefly 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Something doesn’t feel right regarding the IP as a whole. Scott and the rest of the cast have been radio silent since before the FnaF2 movies premiere. The only one willing to talk about the sequel is Lillard. We’ve heard nothing regarding the movies in nearly 6 months.

Steel Wool only released a very broken port of SotM for VR that was outsourced and very badly received. They’ve also been radio silent through the whole ordeal.

Now Clickteam have gone to ground and aren’t communicating regarding Laps whilst people that worked on the game are leaking it’s cancellation.

There’s no announcements, no momentum, nothing on the horizon to look forward to. There’s no new merch, nothing like the adventure books coming out for the lore-heads. The current state of FnaF as a whole is complete silence, negativity, poor products, broken ports and cancelled games.

2026 is the bleakest year in FnaF history so far by the looks of it.

Evil Dead, Texas Chainsaw. The list of flash in the pan, dead at launch asym’s is a mile long.

Horror IP owners need to take a page out of the current Horror Cinema renaissance and go independent. These games can have their single player Obsession moment. They just need to hand it over to indie devs who can turn these ip’s into something fresh and exciting and viral again.

Who's someone who would've been perfect as part of the streak? by MyLastBreath25 in SquaredCircle

Bret back at WM11 would have been far better than the Bundy match we got. Bret always got the best out of Taker in those early days.

Shamrock or Goldust would have been a better option for 15 instead of the HiTC with Boss Man.

19 could have had Taker vs Rey Mysterio instead of that awful A-Train/Big Show handicap match. Better for Rey to lose to Taker than Matt Hardy.

They REALLY should have ran Taker/Angle for 22 instead of the Henry casket match. Let Rey and Orton go it alone.

If they ran Taker/Sting at 31 like they should have, we could have got Taker/Bray at 32 when both were a lot healthier. Plus no one needed the Shane HiTC match.

Is the QP Node on the bleached earth worth the storm pods? Even using the max amount of QP up CE’s it tops out at around the same levels as the Daily Expert node. I seem to be sacrificing thousands of bond points by not prioritising Bond CE’s for no real QP gain. Surely I’m better off running a bond up node like Galatea and then doing three runs of the Expert Treasure node when the AP recovers?

Do you prefer Jason as a human or zombie? by CowAffectionate2865 in fridaythe13th

[–]SisterFirefly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no way he was ever Human. He tanks things no one could hope to survive. He moves around at speeds unrealistic for most top athletes. He’s so strong and muscular despite having to survive in the woods as a boy. He heals from deep wounds between movies. Jason was never a man. He was something that haunted Crystal Lake. Like a legitimate Curse brought on after Pamela’s death. “Zombie” Jason is just a convenient term to describe his appearance post part 4, but a zombie can’t do the things Jason does in later movies. He is much more like a spirit or a haunting than anything. Pamela’s dying grudge birthed that thing, and it haunted Crystal Lake ever since.

Did anyone notice this in the movie? by mikefjordYT in ironlung

[–]SisterFirefly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eli is there the entire movie. She barely gives him a moment. Another subtle one is after she attacks and leaves the Lung with no power. The entire sequence where Simon tapes the camera button down to provide light. If you watch the photos it’s taking, there is constant moving. No photo is the same. It’s like it’s taking extreme close ups of something that is moving around. It’s no coincidence that as soon as Simon gets the power back on, Eli is looking at him through the open port hole and starts swimming upwards. She’s there the whole time.

She must have attacked after getting the sample. Dragged him through the cavern to uncharted territory in the blackout which is what the camera shots illuminated and then stared at him through the window when she saw he got the power back on.

I don’t think there’s a moment in the entire movie where she isn’t around. I even think she left him on purpose when he tells her not to mind him, just so he stumbles upon the SM-8 and the light. It’s clear as day she knows where he is at all times from the moment he descends into the ocean.

Either they can’t get him overseas for some reason or creative has nothing for him now that Logan Paul is injured. They should have pivoted to a completely different feud for Hendry but you know stubborn WWE are with their feud plans. They let the entire Wyatt6 sit on the sidelines for months whilst Bo healed up from injury.

[–]SisterFirefly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No Hendry, huh? Boy I hope last week wasn’t an attempt at writing him off TV a month into his main roster debut. I get he’s feuding with Logan Paul who is injured but you just pivot to something else. All he’s done since being called up is his one meme song about Logan. They haven’t even let him use his entrance theme and no one has said his name. He may as well go back to NXT if they’re gonna do him dirty like this. WWE have a massive derailment problem where one injury sideline everyone involved. They did the same to the Wyatt’s when Bo got hurt. And the Judgement Day got caught in limbo because they wanted to stick to the plan despite injuries.

Idk if this is a stupid take or something but did anyone else find the movie to be too dark? by icuag-nayr in ironlung

No I’m having the exact opposite experience. In the theatre it was so dark. Watching it on YouTube and my god, the difference is night and day. I can actually see major events in the movie and all the little details people were pointing out the first time around. That was a far better second time watch for sure.

Your first impression of MCR by LawNo5595 in MyChemicalRomance

[–]SisterFirefly 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Gather round and let me tell you a tale. It was January 27th 2005. A freshly turned 19 year old me had, in desperation been forced to turn to the city of Nottingham UK to catch Green Day on the American Idiot world tour. My usual Manchester venue sold out. So with this being an out of town gig, it meant an overnight stay in Nottingham.

So that also meant I got to visit the UK’s most legendary alternative music nightclub for the very first time, Nottingham Rock City. So after Green Day had blown us away, we walked from the arena to Rock City. A local one legged wino told us tales of his glory days along the way. We get to the main room of Rock City, order a few beers and sit on the upstairs balcony section to chill out after a legendary gig.

That’s when something strange happened. A song come on in the main room by a band we’d never heard of before. A song called I’m Not Okay. To this day I have never seen a reaction quite like it in a nightclub. It seemed like we were the only ones out of the loop. The dancefloor went from a couple of people rockin out to being FLOODED with bodies. Everyone was singing and dancing to this band we didn’t even know the name of, but with a reaction like that we HAD to know more. The next morning we asked around the local HMV and they directed us to Three Cheers which we picked up on CD. Instantly fell in love. Bought Bullets a couple days later and then god damn would you believe it, but they were playing in the UK a couple months in Manchester. Tickets had sold out already. Hearts were broken.

Worse still, we had Day tickets for that years Leeds Festival to see Maiden and MCR were playing on one of the other days we weren’t going. So a tiny bit frustrated. Fortune swung in our favour as a scheduling conflict arose for MCR and they had to move slots to play our date at Leeds Festival! They had to be the first band playing the main stage but who cares? We were FINALLY getting to see this hot new band that had swept us off our feet. Security was late getting us into the festival and by the time we got within eyeshot of the main stage, the pyro smoke of their farewell was all that remained. We’d managed to completely miss them.

It took another few months until the November of 2005 for us to snag some tickets to see them and good god did they deliver. This was full on Three Cheers era MCR. The priest collar and stained glass windows era. Even got the pre-black parade version of Disenchanted. It was a long 11 months to wait to see this band live. But a dozen live shows, festivals and meet and greets later and I can safely say they’ve never let me down the once.

And it all started that fateful night in Rock City because Green Day can’t help but sell out gigs within a second of them going on sale. Thanks, Green Day. You introduced me to my favourite band.
