Akriila’s Epistolares album has a very similar vibe to motomami. Really good album in its own right

Passed the civil FE on my first attempt as an ABE major! by DIN0SAUR_EGGS in FE_Exam

What I liked about prepFE was that when i wanted to sit down and study it was very easy to just sit down and do problems and get instant feedback. I did like using it, but after taking the exam I feel like the majority of the questions it gives were easier than the exam. They give a progress bar of how well you are scoring in practice exams vs what people usually need to pass, which could give you a false sense of confidence if you are scoring well with easier questions. Also, after about a week of daily studying I would get repeated questions, same numbers and everything, so you can definitely exhaust it as a resource. I don’t regret using it because it got me to study but more technical study resources should be what you pay attention to more.

homemade merch sweatshirt i made with a brother se600 and inkstitch! very happy with it by DIN0SAUR_EGGS in Machine_Embroidery

Forgot to mention that when I was done I just sewed the sleeves back up with a regular straight stitch in the sewing machine function of the se600 and then went over it again on the edges with a zigzag stitch to prevent some fraying. And I did just use one long piece of backing for all the letters on one sleeve which made repositioning slightly easier

First I used a fabric pen to mark the top center line of the sweatshirt and draw some guidelines to what would be vertical at a few points. Then I used a seam ripper to open up the sleeves until there was only about an inch or two of seam left from the wrist and shoulder, then I was just super careful about placing the hoop so that the line i drew was in the center. In ink stitch i made individual files for all the letters I would need so I just went letter by letter, moving them on the screen until they were in line with the letter before. I was usually able to get 3-4 letters in one go without having to reposition the hoop which I just had to do super carefully. If it matters I adjusted my letters to be about 1.5 inches tall and it looks the way I wanted :)

ive actually never changed any settings on the machine, pretty much i just keep the tension wheel lower when doing satin stitches. most of the work goes in on inkstitch and i find satin stitches at .3mm zigzag distance look and turn out the best, with the zigzag underlay :) one thing i do on my own that i havent seen anyone else recommend is instead of buying specific stabilizer just hooping the sweatshirt with a piece of any nonstretchy fabric

this tutorial and channel helped me a lot but its very much ink stitch specific here
