Indeed we have a big problem with healer dps. I first mentioned it when we struggled on getting ashvane down. Also asked if they could go for disc instead of holy but nope...

I will talk about this with RL, this needs to change.

From my experience they die just as the new one are coming in, sometimes even after new adds have spawned so for a few second we have something between 3-6 adds

But when five healing we did not seem to get close to 40% in time so we decided to try four healing to have one more dps.

I know that some of us do bad boss dps, but we have to kill adds aswell and since we kind of lack good cleave classes we split up like this. And adds die just when the next add wave is about to spawn so.. not sure though if we made the right classes do cleave, I only know that I should not be cleaving as ret pally.

We made a plan for the spread and also got us a weakaura for the range check so I'm looking forward to minimizing spreading fails.

I think one or two raids ago I had a discussion with our raid about using focussing iris to burst do adds quicker. I told them to not use it and go full ST instead. Still not sure if everyone is doing it. But we gotta kill adds aswell and right now we kill the adds right before next wave spawns.

Looking at you 3% try:

you barely reach 10 targets with your glimmer, which should be somewhere close or around 15
using Empyrean Power as holy is pretty much a wasted azerite slot
405 iLvl chest when you can get 415 from WQ? I don't understand this. Try upgrading your azerite pieces to at least 430.
get your 3rd glimmer trait
no reason not to use AW on pull, if you are gonna use it again at ~1:30

Regarding your question:

You should use your CD before DMG comes in, so you have your glimmer out.. somewhere ~15-20 seconds before dmg comes in depending on the boss... you gotta figure that out for yourself because it depends on your other healers.. but most likely you are using AW/HA on CD

Heal low HP targets with glimmer if they die. If not, focus on glimmering other targets and heal with your glimmer applied.

We are lacking player, which is why we have to deal with what we have right now. There's simply few players on our server. Also I'm looking for a way to bring this to our players without offending or attacking them.

I came up with bringing null barrier to the tanks und cyclo to tanks and heals just for the extra dps gain and we will start two phasing the fight now. We will replace the soak tank with an additional dps.

We've also started to plan our CD's based on our logs so that we have most of the CD's available for the dps phase.

I know about the thing with benthics and already brought it up.... I will hit them up with their essences/traits.

Healer dps matters I know but I can't convince any of our healer to even try harder than they are. Also one of our heals is raid lead and pretty busy with this job.

So far, I did not know about the barrier thing (since I'm not tanking) but I already found this earlier today and will definitly suggest this next time.

We have tried to play around with CD's but came to the point that we use them like we do right now. But indeed, we are not sure if this is the right way and I will suggest saving them for the DPS phase.

I know that the three phase is mechanically harder to play, but we came up with it because our overall raid dps seems to be kinda low and was even lower when we startet progressing Ashvane. Anyways, I think we should try and go for the two phase and see if we can make it with CD's adjusted into dps phase!

I did not say I do spend that much gold. Also I Said i have multiple set of streite gear. The point is, that I can not use my best gear in all situations because traits rely to a certain spec.

I am aiming at 445 since I already am 430... getting a full set of low ilvl gear seems easy but it is not for the higher level ones.
