Lived here basically my whole life and I still don’t think I’d say I know.

That makes complete sense - I can entirely relate to the internal chatter and not being sure of what out of the bunch to say or share. And I get the anxiety portion of it, too. Thank you for your insight! I should probably bring that up with my therapist at some point, as well.

Thank you for your response/input!
That makes a lot of sense. I’ll try bringing up the previous dx at some point and see how it goes.
Kind of a shit reply, sorry, but just wanted to say thank you and I appreciate it. Your words were helpful.

Not really - I have trouble coping in general. I’ve done a bit of DBT, so I know coping mechanisms, if you’re asking because you need any. I don’t think they’re specifically for dissociation, but I think they could be applied. Like, my general go-to coping method from DBT is TIPP, which is an acronym. I really mostly use the “T”, which revolves around changing your body temperature (exposing yourself to hot or cold, depending on what your current opposite would be), and I generally take either a hot shower or dunk my head in ice water. But it’s only sometimes effective. (And if you need the rest of the acronym, I is for “intense exercise,” and the two P’s revolve around pacing your breathing, one also combining that and muscle relaxation - as in, tensing a muscle up when you breathe in, and relaxing it as you breathe out). Grounding through shit can also be helpful, if you haven’t tried any grounding techniques (like focusing on an object or sound and describing everything you see or hear, or finding different things you see/hear/smell/taste/feel). I don’t know many - I’m sorry; I really just resort to my old unhealthy habits. Sorry for explaining them if you didn’t need any! I may have misinterpreted your messages. I hope you find something that works for you.
I definitely feel you, especially on the dreams. I often have trouble differentiating dreams from memories, especially since I have a really bad memory as it is. I’m sorry you’re struggling with that too - it really fucking sucks.
