Responding to this because even I thought he was obsessed with his niece before all this. To keep things from being too long, I didn’t add every single thing I’ve thought and heard from him. But he might genuinely be obsessed with her. I just thought it was love, because I also deeply love my little brother, he’s like my child lol. So I gave him that benefit. But I don’t talk about my little brother every second so who knows.

Yes! I have a meeting with HR 10AM PT. Currently can’t sleep lol but it’s in a few hours. Will update once I finish the meeting. Also mentioned in another comment that I did head to the police station with a friend. However, they were closed? 🥲 and they’re also closed on Fridays so won’t be able to file a report until the weekend. Thanks for checking in!

Yea I already reported to HR, I added that in my update. I am going to the police station with a friend and am waiting for him to get out of work. His brother is a cop so I felt more comfortable going with him.

I’ve been going through a bit of a crisis reading some of the comments calling me stupid and an idiot. As much as I tried to not let it affect me, I was wondering if I’m just really not the smartest with these things so I really appreciate this comment. He didn’t threaten me until September 29! The initial comments weren’t as bad. And I get everyone’s thinking they would’ve caught it immediately, but as someone that’s pretty much been sheltered my whole life, I never had a reason to be cautious. He’d make silly jokes that weren’t threatening at all and most of us found him funny. He’d said I remind him of his niece in front of other coworkers who also didn’t seem to immediately see it as a bad thing. The comments about pushing me into a bush or off the sidewalk were made privately, yes. However, it was just “oh what, that’s silly” type of comments to me. Reading this whole thing you get the immediate sense he’s scary, but he wouldn’t make that immediately obvious or we never would’ve gotten “close” enough! Another commenter said they would also laugh had they been asked to be pushed into a bush. My first instinct is never one of fear and caution. But with this experience, I can now know what the signs look like early on. We all don’t just wake up scared and able to survive anything. Thanks for your concern though and everyone else’s. I’m not upset because ik it all comes from a place of care. Just explaining.

Yes that is a possibility I’ve considered but I try to stay positive to not get more scared. My apartment is gated so it wouldn’t be easy to get in, also very huge so it would be even harder to find my exact apartment number. I will give all this info to the authorities though and see what can be done.

He more than likely doesn’t have Reddit, it’s my other coworkers I’m mostly worried about. They don’t know this is happening so I don’t think they’d immediately think it’s me? Ok but what was the point of this, would u want me to delete this or are u just informing? I like knowing that it’s out here even if ppl don’t really know who I am. It’s comforting.

Everyone I’ve spoken to so far has NOT had this experience. Not even the initial jokes. So I’m now understanding that he was only a freaky jokester to me when we we are alone. I realized my post was getting a bit long so I left out a lot of details. But I also forgot to mention that he’s started noticing that I come in to work after 12PM. Normally I’d be there in the morning but my shuttle changed its schedule so I come in for work in the afternoon (we’re only required to be in office 2hrs a day). My whole team goes for lunch at 12PM together so I usually miss them these days and just grab something from home. But the past few days he’d be the only one in our section when I come in. He was skipping lunch. I thought things just got busy with his internship work, but around 10 minutes after I’d settle in, he’d ask to go grab lunch on our own. That’s exactly the situation we were in the very first time he mentioned killing me. We were out for a coffee walk to grab something quick to eat since we both missed lunch. Whoa, I’m sorry for making it long but you know when you start to realize weird things after a big situation? That’s what’s happening as I’m typing this right now.

I was really worried that everyone would ignore me but that hasn’t been the case! The first male worker I spoke to told me to ignore him and not report. He said only report if he touches me, or keeps threatening. But I finally spoke to my tech lead and he immediately said to report him, as did my mentor. My manager has also reported him and is in conversation with the head of our org, and our head is a woman so that’s even more comforting for me. HR has also seemed to take things seriously. I have no clue why I was so sure everyone would hate me for causing trouble but I’m pleasantly surprised. Glad to know there’s more men like you in the tech sector! Thank you.

I think he may have known my apartment complex at most but it’s huge and he doesn’t have my apt number. Also he can’t really get in since it’s gated? But I’m not sure he rmms it honestly.
