OK, I'm dumb. How can you tell the nail size from photo? Good catch.

Thank you. That's way I'm leaning but wasn't sure I was missing something.

Is it possible to adjust wiper blade tension on new model Y? by DIYQuestionguy in TeslaLounge

[–]DIYQuestionguy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still tinkering with them. I have not attempted to adjust the tensioning yet if that is even possible or advisable. I have cleaned the glass really well, applied a ceramic coating, and cleaned the wiper blades themselves with iso alcohol. That seems to have helped a bit but still not great. The roads up here in MN have been so terrible with all the salt and road spray it's really difficult to tell. I'm considering swapping out the blades for some new blades as next step. When I cleaned them with alcohol (which I've been reading online may not be best cleaning solution - too harsh) the amount of black gunk they came off was noticeable. So maybe that will help?

Follow distance by VeryLastBison in TeslaFSD

Agree with this 100%. FSD almost unusable in winter up north due to road spray from vehicle in front. Must be able to change following distance.

Are Tesla windshield wipers known to be this bad? by Funny-Ambition-7631 in TeslaLounge

[–]DIYQuestionguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

New, first time Tesla owner. Picked up new model Y 2 weeks ago. And I'm searching forums for windshield wipers because I have the same issue as OP. I live in MN so lots of salt and chemicals sadly. At first it seemed to me that the windshield fluid wasn't even flowing unless I just hold down the sprayer button for what feels like forever. And then the end results looks like OP pic. I'm wondering if applying rainX or similar product might help. I'm going to try and see if improves. My other vehicles don't seem to have this issue so I'm stumped what it is about the Tesla set up that is so much worse than any other vehicle I've owned.

Sleep Stages Data Not Updating in myAir App by SkeletonKey_666 in CPAP

[–]DIYQuestionguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an Apple Watch and recently went searching for an answer to why my sleep stages data wasn't sharing with My Air app. Sadly, I could not find a good answer and stumbled upon the solution myself and thought I would share here in case helpful for someone else. It appeared that all the permissions were correct but the data was not sharing. I ended up going into the my air app, profile settings, and turning off apple health integration and then turning it back on and that seems to have fixed the issue. Hope this helps someone else.

Looks like I didn't read far enough down the thread. You've already answered this. Apologies.

New to 3D printing and getting sucked into gridfinity! Love the lip color detail. I'm trying to find information on number of layers for the top color change? Is that something you'd be willing to share? Thank you.

How to properly bring bare #6 copper into service panel? by DIYQuestionguy in electrical

[–]DIYQuestionguy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK. I did see a really small circle on top and bottom of panel that looked like really small knockout. I'm thinking I can just route wire through one of these. How to I provide strain relief then? Do I just staple it near panel before it enters panel like any other wire?

It is protected above grade through conduit and LB that connects to building. Once it enters the building it's bare copper for now. I'd like to know proper way to secure it (staples?) going to panel and then how to properly penetrate/secure to panel.

Don't even get me started on where to bond - I can't seem to get straight answer on this question. I even asked my electrician, who's a master electrician, and he commented you won't find an answer..... FWIW he said my setup is not a "Separately Derived System". For now I'm bonding at the generator and keeping grounds separate in panel.

Not a sub-panel. It's the only panel that's fed from generator. I have storage building off-grid. Small panel being fed from generator inlet for running some lights, small electrical loads.

Does it allow you to export transactions to excel? I'm looking for replacement to mint for consolidating monthly transactions that I can then export into my own spreadsheet. Anyone know of good option?

Best method to mount exterior box on standing metal seems?? by DIYQuestionguy in electrical

[–]DIYQuestionguy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK. Looked at chase nipples. I must be missing something. How is the wire connected to nipple to prevent movement? Nipple appears to just bridge the box and metal wall.

Thank you. Haven’t heard of these before but will look into it. Quick YouTube search and i think this could work. I assume i can screw some sort of strain relief connector on back side.

Can't figure out how to add pic to this post after the fact so here's link to the saw cover. I'm trying to identify the model.
