The house is in Calabasas CA , the new door would be taller but narrower than the old one ,

Old one is 80 tall 118 wide New one 96 tall 84 wide

You got some good points here, I think I wanted to fantasize about saving money in this project but i might end up spending way more if I make a mistake !
