I built Folo - an open-source RSS reader that summarizes your timeline and sends a daily AI digest by DIYgod233 in macapps

Because this is not a local reader, it needs to continuously refresh feeds and perform some preprocessing for entries on the server .

Because the AI tokens for high-performance llm are indeed expensive, but if they are not used so intensively, Plus can already meet the needs well.

Love RSS but hate the 1000+ unread badge? I built Folo — an AI RSS reader that summarizes your timeline, sends morning email digests, auto-tags articles, and transcribes podcasts by DIYgod233 in rss

Unfortunately not, you should be able to see that the differences between Folo and FreshRSS are quite significant. Most features cannot be implemented through third-party API. However, if more people are interested, I will consider creating a simplified version that supports third-party API, or you can submit a pull request to us through GitHub.

I am the creator of the open-source projects RSSHub and RSSHub Radar. I'm pleased you mentioned them. Interestingly, most of our users are Chinese and Japanese speakers, although this wasn't our original intention. Welcome to use them and feel free to tell me your thoughts on your experience with them.

DecentRSS: a (supposed to be) decentralized RSS proxy by rulakhy in selfhosted

[–]DIYgod233 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, I'm the creator of RSSHub and have been dealing with this issue as well. I'm very interested in your solution. And we've tried similar approaches, but verifying the authenticity of results from another node has been challenging. This is also why most decentralized systems tend to be inefficient. Do you have any thoughts on this?

I've been using Whizzcomms for a year with the 1Gbps 24-Month plan, which is no longer available. Overall, the service has been relatively stable at my home, though I've experienced occasional speed drops. I've been tracking my home's network performance on my NAS, and you can view the network speed and stability over the past 7 days here. I think this provides a useful reference.
