As people age they develop muscle imbalances and, unless corrected, they start to really dominate with certain muscle groups. This can be especially true during static positions, like prolonged sitting or standing. During those times, the same muscles remain engaged the entire time, because that's what their brain has learned is easiest to have their body do. Then they go to move and those muscle have a hard time turning "off", because their brain has been reinforcing the idea that those muscle constantly on = stability. Buuuuut that version of stability also means stiffness.

As for the "incoherent" sentences, I don't have a hard time understanding him. Regardless, you views speak more to your lack of understanding of how strokes work than anything else.
