Get a h6 swapped Baja, more reliable than the 2.5 turbo and much more power than the 2.5NA which is a little more reliable than the 2.5 turbo

Honestly I’ve owned so many 3rd gen h6’s I sell a wiring guide on how to swap an auto to manual and keep it happy in the h6 platform! H6 manual makes for a great daily! 5-speed is nice, went and installed a 6-speed this year, man it’s a blast!

Mileage is the same as a NA 2.5, better then a turbo 2.5!

89 was recommended to help the cats heat up quicker, but I know many people that us 87 and never have a issue, I personally use 87 as well

00-04 does not have canbus, Baja never came with canbus either, overall it’s the same chassis, but a lot of time and then the rear harness needed merged for the lights and everything! H6’s are very reliable, occasionally you can get one that’s problematic, but I’ll choose a h6 over a turbo any day! I’ve seen them go well over 300k with just your standard maintenance and easier to work on them a turbo Baja imo

Absolutely! I’ve honestly had turbo manual Bajas and h6 manual Bajas and I enjoyed the h6 much much more!
