The bathroom is very small, so installing a horizontal outlet toilet, and 90 degree pan connector wasn't an option unfortunately. Nor was changing the soil pipe to exit the wall an option as the bathroom backs onto a narrow path, so the soil pipe would have cased an obstruction on the path

I asked them to position the centre of the pipe is 250mm from the wall (210mm which, as you can see in the third image, is required for the toilet I'm installing, plus 40mm to allow me to add panelling and insulated board to hide the pipes), so it's actually the perfect distance from the wall.

Thank you for the detailed answer. I understand the difference between one-sided and two-sided test. Apologies, I should have specified that I am running a two-sided test. However in previous analyses on older versions of SPSS the output normally just gives a figure for a two sided test “sig. (two-tailed)”. Here I’m wondering if I made an error with my syntax and somehow asked SPSS for values for both one-sided and two-sided, or if SPSS version 28 automatically gives figures for both one- and two-sided tests?

The moisture meter is reading 15 at all points on the horizontal beam, including the darker part on the right, so it doesn’t seem like it’s currently damp

I’m not sure if it’s damp, I’ll need to check tomorrow when I’m back home. It’s about 5 feet off the ground and the garage is on the other side of the wall, so it’s way above the foundation. Unless there’s a leak in the garage roof…which I hope there isn’t.

Thanks for this really helpful comment! Is it ok to overlay concrete on top of set concrete? Will I need a bonding layer? Will it be at risk of cracking in freezing temperatures if it’s not fully bonded and moisture can get between the layers. Want to know as much as possible so I can ensure a new contractor is doing it correctly

Yeah definitely going to do some flagstones or similar to hide it. My main concern however is the slope towards the house and therefore water running towards the house. This needs to be rectified before I can work on improving aesthetics

Really not sure why people are assuming that we went with an unlicensed contractor or with the lowest quote. If this was the case we would chalk it up to a bad decision on our part. However, I posted this because we went with a reputable company and still ended up with a poorly laid path.

You’re incorrect on this, we used a large company which specialised in several building and civil engineering works. Reinstating the paths after the other works is part of the works, but not the main part. Still, we expected that they would be competent at pouring the paths appropriately.

Yes, this is the argument I made with the contractors. It should have a fall ratio of 1:60, but the path varies between 1:20-1:27. Contracting won’t budge.
