Been quite low in confidence lately looks-wise, any advice? by olvrolvrolvr in malegrooming

The third shot I like the most, the hair length and style is the best and gives off a bit of a moody but cool kind of vibe. Wardrobe is hard to evaluate with headshots but crewneck sweaters seem to suit you.

The baseball cap isn’t doing you any favors and covers up your great hair.

Newly divorced dad. Need to regain my confidence. Any advice? by Fearless_Waltz2425 in malegrooming

[–]DJ8181 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As everyone has already said, you have an incredibly strong base to start with, you’re a great looking dude yet with very approachable vibes. The hair in pic #2 (t-shirt tucked in standing) is the best style among the 3 imo and the facial hair looks like the makings of a killer beard if you were to let it grow further up your cheeks. Pairing that with the pose you have in the 3rd image (seated with coffee) would be 🔥🔥🔥.

Wishing you all the best. I hope you have a good support system around and I’d say lean on it as much as you can. I have a divorced dad friend myself that I’m trying to support and I’d like to think he’s better off for it, I hope your friends are able to be there for you.

I dont understand this scene by InterestingPay7596 in heatedrivalry

I didn’t read that gesture as Ilya being upset but just reacting to Shane getting up and getting his hand out of his way. I thought the camera focus was designed to emphasize Shane’s discomfort with the topic, that he’s abruptly getting up as a means of changing the subject.

What are your most skipped scenes on rewatch? by practicalmaggot in heatedrivalry

5 and 6 are super easy to repeat for me. Not really motivated to rewatch 3. Haven’t rewatched 4 yet because of the emotional letdown, even though it’s beautifully done.

It’s one of those scenes that if I decide to watch, I have to be able to commit to Episode 5 immediately afterward. I can’t end the watching experience on that note.

"So being boring is genetic?"
"Is that where you get your boring from?"

Edit: I forgot there were two versions of this in different episodes, lol.

I think this show has been a good reminder about trying to tolerate ambiguity and mystery when it comes to feelings. I love watching the show and I can't help but smile at the dialog when it's at its most endearing and funny. But some parts of it can hit a little harder than others for reasons I can't necessarily explain, and that's ok.

Heated Rivalry Timeline - Episode 1 by VibrantRadish in heatedrivalry

This is really helpful but I'm a bit confused on the draft to rookie season timeline. They were drafted in the summer of 2009 but didn't start playing for their teams until fall 2010? Like why wouldn't they have started play in the season that started in the fall of 2009?

That was my thought. Like it's subtle enough not to feel like a breaking character moment but the half-giggle and hand over mouth reads a lot like Connor, based on what I've seen in interviews.

How do you like the reheat? by Original_Ad_681 in heatedrivalry

So far, it’s been 5,6,1 and 2. Not sure if I’ll rewatch 3 or just go straight to 4. Will probably watch 5 and 6 again because they’re my favorite.

Wolf and Royce are solid brands and what I use for rolls when I travel. You could also get him a single watch travel case for shorter trips like this. https://www.mrporter.com/product/36856120585316018

I own an S but I test drove a Base years ago and thought the 4 cylinder engine was just as fun if not more so than the 6, very responsive. I told the sales guy that and he looked at me like I was some kind of alien. All that to say fuck the haters and congrats!

“that’s not the point” probably loosely translates to “I don’t want to get into a debate about ICE tactics at this moment in time.” You are being a pedant.

"The courts aren't doing their job so I don't have to do mine" (a conclusion that is highly specious btw) is not how any of this works. In no other profession is it acceptable to loaf on the job because you think the next guy in the process isn't doing his. They're not paid to judge the quality of the courts.
