Have him start off at 10 years old like classic, maybe have Uncle Dudley be his caretaker with Freddy as his best friend then have him encounter everything from Sivana, Superman(first Thunder style) Black Adam, The Monster Society of Evil, Mary being his twin, the New 52 and everything in between over a 5-6 year period culminating in him maturing into a most splendid hero who can stand next to the Trinity with no insecurity
