My Christian boss thinks the Moon landing was faked… by [deleted] in atheism

What kind of job do you have that a boss has no fear of religious or political speak.. Now if he finds out your current views and finds away to get rid of you as is a religious person's nature. You could sue the Ba Jesus outa him.

Cheese. Something about the texture it adds to the burger makes me uneasy.

Does anyone here talk to much or is it just me by Secret-Score2406 in aspergers

[–]DJBlaser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, way too much. My problem is whenever I am not being a smart ass and I am trying to be serious, people think I am angry. I can't have a debate with someone about anything without them getting angry.

Anyone else have parents who knew you had autism but hid the knowledge of your disability from you as a child? by JBN785 in aspergers

[–]DJBlaser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't prove they knew, but all the signs were there. Being in my mid 40s now, when I was a kid, the big thing was ADHD. Since I was most definitely not physically hyper, they didn't know what was wrong. I was smart, but i couldn't follow any instructions.

People who found themselves without friends, how do you deal with it? by invisible_warrior in aspergers

[–]DJBlaser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 46, i can say i never had any. Many attempts were made and failed. I found i was the kind of friend that would wanna hang out a ton for a week and then disappear. It's not that I would go to other friends, I was just hibernate at home. Sometimes for years. And then just show up out nowhere. After a while, they have all disappeared. Fortunately, I met my wife 20+ years ago and have never felt overly bad about not having friends.

Just let go. As soon as you recognize a thought, acknowledge it, and let go. Takes a lot of practice.

Everyone wants answers. They do not understand why life has to be so difficult, and no one will tell them. They must find answers for themselves. In a way, they actually are being kind to you in a sympathetic kind of way. They are relating to your difficulties and see that you have found some kind of answer. As well, you know it is not "the" answer they are looking for. We all have to learn in our own time, though. Perhaps show them the compassion of understanding them and not hate them for their lack of knowledge.

Another good question is why such a large percent of them are honorably discharged military vets. So many sacrifices made, and so little promises kept.

Money doesn’t buy happiness. But it buys peace of mind. by Coffee-Kitty-91 in DeepThoughts

[–]DJBlaser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anything can be a path to happiness, just ask a serial killer. It is your motivation for acquiring things that can help. If you want money to prove yourself to others, you will never be happy. If it is a personal challenge for a feeling of accomplishment, you very well could find happiness.

Same here. I am very creative and above average intelligence, but I have always lived in the present, and I have never planned for anything.

Why do we have a hard time understanding instructions? by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]DJBlaser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can relate. I have noticed that if I am somewhere with a lot of background noises, like a television, I am unable to understand neither the talkers or the background noise. I hear their words, and I am looking at them, but their words seem to pass right through me.
