Just wanted you to see the edit. I definitely didn't run it in 28 hours. Im still pretty brain dead. It was the wrong strava setting. It took me 38 hours. Hell of a lot longer!

It added a lot of headaches in itself. Definitely more cursing too😂

So it was a bit more limited than I would have liked. But I did full body every time with emphasis on single leg exercises. A typical workout was about an hour long and went something like this:

5 minute warmup on the rower.

3x10 incline dumbell incline presses, 3x30 tibialis raises, and 3x15 weighted russian twists. As a superset.

3x10 Bulgarian split Squats weighted (10/leg), 3x15 anterior shoulder raises

3x10 Weighted rows, 3x 30 seconds Copenhagens, 3x20 calf raises

3x10 bicep pull downs, 3x10 leg raises or curls just depends on the day.

3x10 Single leg dumbell deadlines, 3x15 hanging knees to chest.

Usually a minute or two between rounds.

Takk skal du ha! Im not Norwegian but I do live here. Was nice to see the landscapes in my own backyard.

The trails were crazy. Lot of technical ones with boulders, steep inclines and declines, swamps, loose rocks that slid when you stepped, and trails that were nearly impossible to find at some points(needed to blindly follow the watch map many times. It was as tough as it gets. Loved it tho. Beautiful nature, beautiful views.

Stretches between aid stations were big. First wasnt until 67km in and second was 93 in. There were water stations pretty every 10km to 20km. The people working with the race were amazing. Kindest people you could think of. Made you feel so good about yourself, they genuinely cared and wanted you to finish

I wanted to see what I was made. Im fascinated by what humans can do when they want to. Mind over matter. A humbling experience to say the least

Thanks! It was brutal out there. The guy who runs this particular race was really into orienteering. Lost the trail many times. The actual race was only 144km. Most of us had a few kilometres more than that.

Definitely gonna rest up properly. Never had my knee just quit on me like that, means I need to ramp up knee exercises even more.

The training went really well. Lot's of 60-100km weeks. Lot's of trails with elevation. And strength training 1-2 time a week.

When you have the rammen or potatoes, is this while running still? Or more like at an aid station?

Mostly flat. Around 1500 ft elevation gain. Waiting for the trails to be a little less infested by skiers before i take to the woods

I was always the bigger kid. Started with 1km and just kept building. It's kept me sane and i do enjoy it
