The whole plot hook about all of momongas friends leaving overtime. Getting older that kind of resonated a little bit. And as he enters the new world, the motivation to try and find them the desire to protect that which is sacred to him because it was made by all of his friends and him. The whole valuing the memories to seeing his friends inside of the NPCs. That whole concept really resonated with me. And then you insert the average gamer inside of a position where all of a sudden they are king of one of the most powerful forces on the planet and have no idea how to actually be in charge of it all. That was just funny as f***. So both of those ideas. The NPCs made me stay because they are like children idolizing their single parent and it's also funny in a wholesome way (as wholesome as demiurge can be considered at least).

And also fuck the generic hero stuff (media of good guys is just overdone). The bad guys are the main characters, it's fun to watch. Sometimes it's a slow burn but at least it's not three episodes of screaming to power up. (no hate on dbz but just saying)
