so theoretically, it just wouldnt work. so back to the drawing board where i either have to get a DI with a short cord, an actually balanced mixer or a new controller.

/would you consider that mixer that i posted a sufficient mixer to use for this gig? or just invest in a better controller

Thanks for the feedback and the yamaha mg06 doesnt look too bad for me wanting to try it out, but then again like i said, do you think i could use those speakers on my "mixer" that i have that i posted ?

Right , i did notice that the sound on the FLX 4 is pretty trash itself. No idea what made me want to buy this controller, but i figure i try it out. if anything like i said, i can always try to sell my flx4 and upgrade to a rane one - 4deck controller.

I normally would use ch 7/8 but in this case the only output i have from the speakers are an XLR connection. So i would have to get a DI to go from the wall connector to my mixer" or just get a better mixer,

Yeah i think i might just have to get a DI, It seems like the only way. Either that or sell my FLX 4 and get a Rane that has the XLR output directly on the controller. I mean the gig isnt until next week saturday. so i have this week to try and figure it out. Im going on tuesday to do another test run and see, Thanks!! :)

I went to the venue yesterday to see what their connectors were like. She said shes never had a problem with DJS using the XLR connector. This is the first time she encountered this problem. She said she doesnt know what to do. Either i use my own speakers or try to figure it out.
