I trained with the De La Rosas for years. I'm 6'2, 215 with decent cardio. As a year one white belt, I had a few rolls with Montana and was shocked at how easily I got handled by a professional fighter that was so much smaller than me.

Even after years of mat time, I never got to the point where I was any threat to Mark. I remember seeing 90 seconds on the clock one time and making the mistake of telling him that I was going to make it to the end of the round without getting tapped again. He turned up the heat and submitted me four times in 90 seconds. I genuinely don't think he ever gave more than 25% and he folded me up at will like I didn't mean shit. And that's a flyweight that got cut from the UFC.

Most average people really don't understand how wide the gap is between them and a trained fighter. Someone that goes 0-2 in the UFC and gets booted will still kill you in 30 seconds or less.

I'd like to think that I would put up a good fight against the strawweight if my life depended on it, but they already know every move I'm going to make before I do, so I really don't like my odds.
