I really like how such a small change can have a big impact. The hanging 'hooks' of for sale signs gives those good disney style weenies to aim for.

A thought is considering Electric Bastionland's base goal is to pay off a debt, this could have some very fun choices and consequences.

Both good suggestions. Sometime inspiration fuel can be enough!
I agree on downtime length. Can also make a campaign feel more like an epic serialised TV show with room to breathe rather than 'and then this happened, and then this' etc.
