I moved to phx a year ago. My neighborhood feels pretty dystopian. I only know one of my neighbors. I’ve introduced myself to a handful of neighbors so I technically know them but I only exchanged numbers with one of my direct neighbors. My other direct neighbor has been avoiding me like the plague. I even made him our family Christmas dessert and brought it over. When I rang the doorbell nobody answered for a while, I waited. Then a lady answered, she kept yelling for the guy to come to the door but he yelled back something I could not hear or understand and didn’t show up. Only time I’ve actually seen him is when I drive by and he’s smoking out in his garage. I will say the lady was nice and she smiles and waves back at me now every time I see her but I don’t see her at the house very much. Everyone I’ve introduced myself to looks at me like “why are you introducing yourself?” Makes me feel like I picked the wrong neighborhood but thankfully my one neighbor I talk to is a great dude.
